Key Responsibilities
\nOperations Management<\/p>\n
\tOversee the full operation of the restaurant, including Front of House and Back of House
\n\tEnsure efficient and high-quality service delivery across all meals, beverages, and functions
\n\tMaintain exceptional presentation standards, including cleanliness, table settings, and overall ambience
\n\tRegularly review operations to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
\n\tEnsure an effective reservation system is in place and operating smoothly
\n\tMaintain a visible presence on the floor, engaging with both customers and staff<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tManage and maintain profitability through strict cost control measures
\n\tMonitor sales performance, conduct sales analysis, and oversee menu costings
\n\tEnsure proper stock control, including ordering, storage, issuing, and regular stock takes
\n\tOversee cash handling procedures and ensure accuracy and accountability
\n\tPrepare and submit accurate reports and budget information within required timelines<\/p>\n
Customer Experience<\/p>\n
\tEnsure consistently high service standards to drive positive customer experiences and reviews
\n\tAddress customer complaints promptly and professionally
\n\tMaintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction and brand reputation<\/p>\n
Compliance & Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure compliance with all hygiene, health & safety, and statutory regulations
\n\tMaintain valid operational licenses, including liquor licenses, and ensure compliance with all conditions
\n\tConduct regular safety checks, including fire and evacuation drills
\n\tManage and respond effectively to incidents such as theft, fire, or emergencies
\n\tEnsure security procedures are followed across all areas of the business<\/p>\n
Leadership & People Management<\/p>\n
\tLead, manage, and develop restaurant staff to ensure high performance and engagement
\n\tEnsure staff are well-trained, professionally presented, and deliver excellent customer service
\n\tManage staffing levels in line with operational needs and budget constraints
\n\tConduct performance appraisals and identify training and development needs
\n\tHandle employee relations, including discipline and grievance management, in line with company policies
\n\tFoster a positive working environment with high team morals<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tProven experience as a General Manager or Senior Manager within the hospitality or restaurant industry
\n\tStrong understanding of restaurant operations, including both Front and Back of House
\n\tSolid financial acumen with experience managing budgets, cost control, and profitability
\n\tKnowledge of stock control, procurement, and inventory management
\n\tStrong leadership and team management skills
\n\tExcellent customer service and problem-solving abilities
\n\tGood understanding of health, safety, and statutory compliance requirements
\n\tAbility to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
\n\tStrong administrative, reporting, and organisational skills
\n\tFlexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays<\/p>\n
