{"id":32725,"date":"2026-03-26T14:01:12","date_gmt":"2026-03-26T14:01:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/front-desk-agent-2\/"},"modified":"2026-03-26T14:01:14","modified_gmt":"2026-03-26T14:01:14","slug":"front-desk-agent-2","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/front-desk-agent-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Front Desk Agent"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<\/p>\n<p>General Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tEffectively utilises software applications and communication tools that are used to facilitate the booking, arrival, stay, billing and departure of residents and guests<br \/>\n\tEffectively works with processes and systems that enable guests to be comfortably accommodated to the highest standards of the hotel<br \/>\n\tEffectively utilises property management software and tools to monitor the preferences of Hotel Guests<br \/>\n\tEffectively manages processes and systems that ensure the safety and security of the hotel, its guests and employees<br \/>\n\tEnsures efficient collaboration and communication with other service departments<\/p>\n<p>Customer Specific Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tAssists the Front Office Management to ensure world-class service is delivered to the Guest, by adhering to all interpersonal, policy and process requirements, on all matters impacting the Guest Service provision<br \/>\n\tEnsures that work within the polices, processes and standards directly affecting the Guests is carried out in a manner that reflects their safety, security concerns and preferences<br \/>\n\tAssists with the implementation and monitoring of processes and systems that ensure the highest levels of confidentiality and security of information.<\/p>\n<p>People Specific Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tWith the Front Office Management, ensures that new team members are effectively assimilated into the Front Office culture and standards of service<br \/>\n\tActively participates in the continuous development of Self and Department Team Members<br \/>\n\tConscientiously participates in personal feedback and performance appraisals<br \/>\n\tActively supports an environment that contributes to positive employee engagement and commitment to the job.<\/p>\n<p>Quality Specific Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsures that the she understands, complies with and consistently applies relevant quality related standards policies, processes, rules and procedures<br \/>\n\tNotices and communicates opportunities to further improve quality standards<br \/>\n\tResponds positively to efforts to implement improvement opportunities and works with other Team Members to support change to improve Guest feedback metrics<br \/>\n\tWorks accurately with systems and methods that capture and communicate Guests\u2019 preferences, likes and dislikes as appropriate without compromising their privacy.<\/p>\n<p>Finance Specific Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tPerforms a daily \u201cPit-Check\u201d process to ensure that all charges are correctly posted and unallocated balances are speedily resolved and with minimal loss to the hotel.<br \/>\n\tLooks for ways to improve the usage of equipment and reduce consumption of stock without compromising the Guest Service experience<br \/>\n\tReports imminent \u2018stock-outs\u2019 to avoid service compromise<br \/>\n\tActively looks out for opportunities for Up-Sell and Cross-Sell and takes advantage of these.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge and Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tAbility to anticipate future circumstances, conditions and requests and use these scenarios to plan for the future<br \/>\n\tQualification in Hospitality Management \/ Leadership<br \/>\n\tSignificant Background in Front Office Service of a luxury hotel<br \/>\n\t2 years of previous experience in hospitality Front Office operations of a luxury hotel<br \/>\n\tProficient user in OPERA Cloud<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>careers.accor.com<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"http:\/\/careers.accor.com","_company_name":"Hyde","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"Hyde Johannesburg Rosebank is a stylish, bohemian-inspired boutique hotel in Johannesburg's Rosebank, featuring 131 rooms, the Proud Mary restaurant, and Workshop17 co-working spaces near the Gautrain station.
