\tTo manage the Treasury function ensuring effective treasury risk management including accurate and timely treasury reporting, which is within the local laws of the country and the internal control framework of the adidas group.
\n\tIn addition, perform key Financial Management and Controlling function by bringing financial transparency, analytics, and effective internal controls in an accurate and timely manner to support the business in achieving short – and long-term objectives.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Treasury\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tManaging the local banking relationships of adidas
\n\tInternally: Group Treasury
\n\tExternally: Local Banks, SARB, other service providers and key partners
\n\tTwelve month rolling Cash Flow Forecast preparation and submission to adidas Group Treasury
\n\tContinuously improve cash\u2011flow forecast accuracy in SAC\/Liquidity Planning as part of the cash flow forecasting process
\n\tEnsure sufficient funding and guarantees are in place to meet operational and investment requirements
\n\tSupport month-end working capital requirement (ensure sufficient incoming funds are processed before outgoing funds are released)
\n\tPro-actively investigate material variances
\n\tBank Account Management (BAM)
\n\tOpening and closing of bank accounts
\n\tBank Account Maintenance (BAM) – Users, Access Rights, Limits
\n\tPayment Approver for Mid-month and Month-end vendor payments
\n\tAnnual renewal of SARB Approvals
\n\tBank Guarantees Maintenance – Renewal, Cancellation, New
\n\tOwn the monthly Balance Sheet Exposure in SAC\u2014preparation and submission
\n\tAd-hoc business analysis and reporting requirements from Local and Global stakeholders<\/p>\n
Controlling (F, P & A)<\/p>\n
Support the F, P & A Director with Inventory & OWC planning and reporting requirements, driving value-adding insights<\/p>\n
\tMonthly Inventory Reporting and Analysis
\n\tMonthly OWC Reporting and Analysis
\n\tIdentifying risks and opportunities with recommended actions
\n\tProvide Actual vs Budget\/PY commentary<\/p>\n
Legal Entity\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMonthly update and review of Legal Entity P&L with clear bridge to management P&L
\n\tUnderstand Management P&L assumptions
\n\tForecasting of non-management activities in line with F, P & A forecasting timelines<\/p>\n
General\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tInsurance – Submit reports\/claims and ensure all records are kept up to date
\n\tFacilitating strong business partnering with key stakeholders through standardized and ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis to support strategic and operational decision making
\n\tManage Corporate CAPEX budget and approve CAPEX requests
\n\tMonthly review of VAT returns and reconciliations in alignment with external advisors
\n\tMonthly Repairs and Maintenance review to ensure correct OPEX vs CAPEX classification to support Tax Compliance.
\n\tPrepare Wear & Tear schedule and ensure CAPEX is allocated correctly for tax purposes.
\n\tSupport Sports Marketing VAT compliance
\n\tPreparation of the AFS Year end Related Party and Contingencies Note<\/p>\n

Requisite Education and Experience \/ Minimum Qualifications:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBe a qualified accountant but with strong commercial finance experience (CA or CIMA membership or similar Accounting Body)
\n\tBe a good all-round communicator with the ability to display sound interpersonal skills as well as tact and diplomacy
\n\tMinimum +5 years post qualification experience
\n\tFMCG, Retail experience desirable
\n\tExperience using AI (MS Co-Pilot) advantageous<\/p>\n
