OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE<\/p>\n
\tAngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Specialist \u2013 Category Management (Mining Contracts) to support the delivery of strategic sourcing initiatives across Contract Mining.
\n\tThis role partners with the Category Manager to drive supplier performance, cost optimisation, and value delivery across critical spend categories.<\/p>\n
ROLE\u00a0ACCOUNTABILITIES<\/p>\n
\tSupport development and execution of category and sourcing strategies
\n\tAssist with supplier management, negotiations, and contract execution
\n\tConduct market analysis, benchmarking, and complex cost modelling
\n\tSupport tender processes, contract drafting, and SOX compliance
\n\tAnalyse spend data to identify cost-saving and value opportunities
\n\tContribute to business cases, reporting, and category insights
\n\tSupport delivery of major contracts and supplier performance initiatives
\n\tDrive continuous improvement and value tracking across the category<\/p>\n
ROLE REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Education & Qualification<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA advantageous)<\/p>\n
Experience, Knowledge and Skills<\/p>\n
\t3+ years\u2019 experience in procurement, category management, or commercial analysis
\n\tExperience in mining contracts – advantageous
\n\tCategory management and strategic sourcing
\n\tAdvanced cost modelling and spend analysis
\n\tSupplier and contract management
\n\tStakeholder engagement and negotiation
\n\tProblem-solving and data-driven decision-making
\n\tSAP and Microsoft Office proficiency<\/p>\n
