The Main Purpose of the job<\/p>\n
\tThe successful incumbent will be responsible to assist with all food service-related activities which include managing daily operations of the kitchen area, implementation of the production process, managing food\/labour costs, and an overall understanding of HACCP.<\/p>\n
Education and Experience required:<\/p>\n
\tRelevant tertiary qualification in food and beverage services or culinary arts is compulsory.
\n\tMinimum 3 Years of experience of progressive\/kitchen management is compulsory.
\n\tExperience working within budget guidelines to deliver results is compulsory.
\n\tHigh Volume, complex foodservice operations experience is highly desirable.
\n\tHospital experience advantage.
\n\tStrong knowledge of HSE is advantageous.
\n\tSpecial diets knowledge is compulsory.
\n\tMust have healthcare experience.<\/p>\n
\u00a0Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of the catering environment ranging from fine dining to restaurant dining.
\n\tKnowledge of South African and industry-specific laws.
\n\tCustomer Service Skills.
\n\tManagement Skills.
\n\tCommunication Skills.
\n\tExceptional Functions Skills.
\n\tAbility to balance the budget and save on soft costs.
\n\tComputer literate.
\n\tHSE knowledge<\/p>\n

\tAssist with managing daily operations of the assigned unit.
