A global leader in the manufacturing of animal feed additives and pre-mixes is seeking the above to be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong relationships at all levels, contributing to the implementation of sales\/account plans, acquiring and retaining accounts, and strengthening customer relations to achieve commercial objectives.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements for the role:<\/p>\n
\tMust have a minimum B.Sc. Agric in Animal Science\/Nutrition
\n\tProven track record in sales, preferably in animal nutrition, agribusiness, or related industries, with experience managing national accounts and complex negotiations
\n\tMust have a basic understanding of animal nutrition products and services, with the ability to collaborate on technical sales processes and maintain product knowledge through trainings
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of customer organizations, market analytics, economic trends, and regulatory compliance in South Africa’s agriculture sector
\n\tStrong influencing, relationship-building, persuasion, and learning agility skills, with the ability to drive results, and resolve issues<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tCo-developing and executing the sales plan for the assigned area, ensuring objectives and targets are being met to achieve overall sales goals.
\n\tProactively approaching and acquiring new customers using market knowledge, direct visits, phone outreach, and references to grow the customer base within delegated authority.
\n\tBuilding trust with customers by identifying needs, providing advice, and delivering effective solutions to enhance satisfaction, loyalty, and revenue.
\n\tUncovering implicit and explicit customer needs through targeted questions, demonstrating how the company\u2019s products match those needs, and building value via benefit statements.
\n\tReceiving, following up, and resolving customer complaints or queries efficiently in collaboration with Sales and Customer Services teams to maintain retention.
\n\tCoordinating, executing, and improving sales administrative processes and systems, ensuring compliance with procedures and recording sales outcomes for future actions.
\n\tProviding quantitative and qualitative insights on sales developments to management, storing and updating information to support decision-making and strategy adjustments.
\n\tMaintaining and building product\/technical knowledge through local and global trainings, preparing quotes based on marketing inputs, and advising customers to close sales.
\n\tContributing to sales and customer service-related projects, delivering results that support commercial objectives.<\/p>\n
