The Senior Contracts & Proposals Manager\u00a0is responsible for coordinating and managing contracts, proposals, and other designated processes for assigned customers. This role ensures the delivery of accurate, compliant, and timely information while supporting complex contractual engagements. Acting as a regional subject\u2011matter expert, the position serves as a key customer interface and drives consistency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across all contract and proposal activities.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Contract & Proposal Management<\/p>\n
\tManage day\u2011to\u2011day contract, proposal, and associated processes for large, complex, and strategic customer engagements.
\n\tSupport the development, review, and negotiation of\u00a0Master Service Agreements (MSAs)\u00a0and related contractual documentation.
\n\tEnsure contractual deliverables align with customer requirements, internal policies, and applicable regulations.<\/p>\n
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tAct as the primary internal point of contact for assigned customers, developing and maintaining strong, trusted relationships.
\n\tServe as a regional expert for contracts, proposals, and designated processes, ensuring consistency in approach, metrics, and documentation standards.
\n\tParticipate in bid defenses, customer meetings, and task forces as required.<\/p>\n
Process Improvement & Strategy<\/p>\n
\tIdentify gaps, discrepancies, and risks in project requirements and proactively engage customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
\n\tDevelop, implement, and continuously improve processes with a focus on efficiency, consistency, and enhanced customer satisfaction.
\n\tProvide strategic direction and leadership on projects and initiatives with minimal oversight.<\/p>\n
Business & Corporate Contribution<\/p>\n
\tActively support the achievement of corporate objectives, including revenue growth, sales enablement, and employee retention.
\n\tApply commercial and analytical acumen to support pricing, budgeting, and proposal development strategies.<\/p>\n
Collaboration & Mentorship<\/p>\n
\tProvide guidance, advice, and technical support to colleagues and serve as a mentor within the contracts and proposals function.
\n\tMaintain strong cross\u2011functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Legal, Operations, and other internal teams.<\/p>\n
Compliance & Knowledge Expertise<\/p>\n
\tMaintain in\u2011depth knowledge of all processes, policies, and systems related to contract and proposal development.
\n\tEnsure full compliance with internal procedures, governance standards, and industry regulations.
\n\tPerform additional duties as assigned.<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
Education & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree in\u00a0Life Sciences, Business Management, or a related field.
\n\tMinimum\u00a07 years of experience\u00a0in Contracts, Proposals, or a closely related function, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
\n\tStrong knowledge of the\u00a0CRO industry.<\/p>\n
Technical & Professional Skills<\/p>\n
\tExcellent proficiency in\u00a0Microsoft Excel and Word, with a strong understanding of costing and pricing models.
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of contract, proposal, and budget development processes.
\n\tProven ability to interpret clinical protocols, budgets, and financial assumptions.<\/p>\n
