\tOur client, a prominent organisation within the sports and entertainment sector, is seeking a highly experienced Head of PMO on a fixed-term contract to establish and lead a centralised Project Management Office. This is a high-impact role suited to a seasoned professional who can drive governance, oversee complex portfolios, and ensure the successful delivery of strategic initiatives across the organisation.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDesign and implement a fit-for-purpose PMO operating model aligned to organisational strategy
\n\tEstablish governance frameworks, reporting structures, and decision-making forums
\n\tDefine and roll out project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid)
\n\tManage and prioritise the enterprise-wide project portfolio
\n\tProvide consolidated reporting on project status, risks, financials, and benefits realisation
\n\tLead strategic programmes including digital transformation, infrastructure, and stakeholder initiatives
\n\tEnsure strong governance, risk management, and compliance across all projects
\n\tOversee project delivery to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
\n\tSupport and coach project managers while driving best practices across teams
\n\tEngage with executive leadership and key stakeholders, providing clear visibility on all initiatives
\n\tOversee financial tracking, forecasting, and business case development
\n\tBuild and lead a high-performing PMO team while driving capability development
\n\tImplement and optimise PMO tools and reporting dashboards to enable data-driven decision-making<\/p>\n
Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 10 years\u2019 experience in project and programme management
\n\tAt least 5 years in a senior PMO leadership role
\n\tProven experience establishing or transforming a PMO function
\n\tExperience managing large, complex project portfolios
\n\tStrong leadership, stakeholder management, and influencing skills
\n\tDeep knowledge of project management methodologies (PMBOK, PRINCE2, Agile)
\n\tStrong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and benefits tracking
\n\tExcellent communication, reporting, and strategic execution skills
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree (required)
\n\tPMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (preferred)
\n\tMBA or relevant postgraduate qualification (advantageous)<\/p>\n
