MAC Consulting is hiring a Senior Consultant with strong analytical capability to deliver high-impact client work across mining, manufacturing or financial services. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, building robust models, and turning data into clear recommendations and high-quality client deliverables.<\/p>\n
What you will do<\/p>\n
\tDeliver analytics-led workstreams across strategy, operational improvement, and performance diagnostics.
\n\tBuild and review complex models and analyses, including scenarios, value cases, and implementation tracking.
\n\tTranslate data into practical insights and implementable recommendations.
\n\tProduce client-ready outputs (Excel models, slide decks, dashboards, and concise written packs).
\n\tSupport engagement leads with structured problem solving, work planning, and quality assurance.
\n\tContribute to proposals, including analytical approach design and workplans.<\/p>\n
What we are looking for<\/p>\n
\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience, ideally in management consulting (or a similar delivery-focused, problem-solving environment).
\n\tStrong quantitative and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly explain assumptions and logic.
\n\tProven ability to deliver high-quality outputs under tight deadlines.<\/p>\n
Technical requirements (critical)<\/p>\n
\tAdvanced Excel (complex modelling, scenario analysis; Power Query is an advantage).
\n\tPython for analytics and automation (for example pandas, NumPy, data cleaning, reproducible analysis).<\/p>\n
Advantageous skills and experience<\/p>\n
\tPower BI (data modelling and dashboarding).
\n\tSQL and experience working with large operational or financial datasets.
\n\tExperience in one or more of: Mining (operations, engineering, maintenance, supply chain analytics)
\n\tManufacturing (performance improvement, OEE, throughput, quality, cost)
\n\tFinancial services (process optimisation, productivity, controls, operating model)<\/p>\n
