Role Context<\/p>\n
\tConduct laboratory-scale flow battery tests following standard operating procedures
\n\tSet up, operate, and maintain test rigs and laboratory instrumentation
\n\tMonitor the performance of field-deployed batteries and assist with on-site diagnostics
\n\tCollect, label, and prepare liquid and solid samples for chemical and physical analysis
\n\tPerform basic and intermediate analytical tests (e.g., titrations, spectroscopic analysis) on samples
\n\tRecord test conditions, results, and anomalies with high attention to detail
\n\tAssist with data entry, analysis, and generation of test reports
\n\tSupport laboratory housekeeping, safety protocols, and inventory management
\n\tCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attend technical meetings, and communicate findings clearly
\n\tEnsuring\u00a0that\u00a0samples\u00a0are\u00a0prepared\u00a0and\u00a0analysed\u00a0accurately\u00a0and\u00a0timeously<\/p>\n

\tGrade\u00a012\u00a0\/with\u00a0passed\u00a0subjects\u00a0(Mathematics\u00a0and\u00a0Science),\u00a0\/NQF\u00a0Level\u00a04
\n\tMinimum of a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent science discipline would be advantageous
\n\tComputer\u00a0Literate\u00a0(Word,\u00a0excel,\u00a0PowerPoint,\u00a0etc.)<\/p>\n
Job-specific Experience<\/p>\n
\tPrior laboratory experience, ideally in battery development, electrochemistry, or related fields.
\n\tPractical knowledge of chemical handling and laboratory safety practices.
\n\tStrong analytical, observational, and problem-solving skills.
\n\tEffective written and verbal communication abilities.
\n\tAbility to work flexibly as part of a development team and independently when required.
