Purpose of the Role:<\/p>\n
\tTo support the Group Technical Food & Quality Manager in implementing and maintaining robust food safety and quality systems across the business. This includes conducting supplier audits, managing product testing, overseeing incidents and recalls, and ensuring compliance with local and international food safety standards.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Food Technology \/ Food Safety \/ Nutrition
\n\t10 years’ FMCG experience, 5 of which in a retail environment
\n\tDeep understanding of food safety legislation and standards (FDCA, HACCP, PAS96, PRP)
\n\tStrong relationship-building, analytical and communication skills
\n\tDeadline-driven with attention to detail
\n\tProficient in MS Excel and relevant QA systems
\n\tValid drivers license
\n\tAbility to travel as and when required<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and update food safety and quality assurance policies
\n\tOversee quality management systems and ensure compliance with standards
\n\tConduct supplier audits and risk assessments (local and imported)
\n\tManage quality-related incidents, product recalls, and traceability documentation
\n\tDrive regular testing, validation, and batch release processes
\n\tLead investigations into non-conformances and customer complaints
\n\tEscalate critical food safety risks and maintain detailed reporting<\/p>\n
