\tA General Assistant in the Coating Department will provide hands-on support to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all coating-related activities. This role involves assisting machine operators, preparing materials, maintaining cleanliness and order in the production area, and following all safety and quality procedures<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nRequired Qualifications \/ Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum NQF Level 4 \u2013 5 Grade 12 \/ Higher Certificates.
\n\tKnowledge on material grades and steel products.
\n\tAble to read, write and communicate in English and use measuring equipment.<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0
\nThe following key areas are covered by this position:<\/p>\n
\tPerform general duties as required to support smooth running of the coating department.
\n\tMaintaining cleanliness and order in the coating area, following housekeeping standards.
\n\tRoutine safety inspections and reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
\n\tSupport equipment setup and basic adjustments.
\n\tHandle and store hazardous materials safely and according to procedures.
\n\tReporting of any faults, defects, or equipment issues as well as maintenance requirements in designated area.
\n\tAssist with picking, packing and strapping of finished products.
\n\tAssisting other departments when needed.
\n\tUnderstanding and conformance to the company policies and procedures<\/p>\n
