\tPerform servicing, inspections, certify and release as authorized repairs, overhaul, maintenance, testing, trouble shooting and modification to aircraft components on time in accordance with all regulatory authority requirements \u00a0<\/p>\n
Principal Accountabilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tService, inspect, certify and release as authorized repairs, overhauls, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and modification to aircraft components in accordance with regulatory authority requirements. \u00a0
\n\tOperate support and specialized test equipment and ensure correct and serviceable tooling is obtained and utilized to perform overhaul\/maintenance of components as per approved documentation and make recommendations for special tooling.\u00a0
\n\tInspection of parts\/components as per applicable regulatory authority requirements and institute corrective actions as required.\u00a0
\n\tPerform incoming inspections, preliminary inspections and create work packs, CM work scopes for components and parts.\u00a0
\n\tAssist in archiving completed work packs, be able to locate and retrieve work packs from archives.\u00a0
\n\tPlan and process parts and moving spares between workshops when required.\u00a0
\n\tComply with Work Instruction Manual.\u00a0
\n\tPerform all reasonable tasks requested by the Production Leader\u00a0
\n\tFeedback to Production Leader on technical discrepancies and daily progress activities to ensure that productivity and safety standards are maintained.\u00a0
\n\tOptimize and improve utilization of equipment and time.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that all tasks performed are signed and stamped and all relevant documentation is completed and compliant.\u00a0
\n\tAttend meetings\/training\/workshops as requested i.e. production meetings, safety meetings, green area meetings etc.\u00a0
\n\tProvide technical assistance in other areas.\u00a0
\n\tEnsure a safe working environment for staff in the work areas\u00a0
\n\tAssist in the returning of tooling equipment to stores and clean work area on completion of shift.\u00a0
\n\tControl calibrated tooling and equipment within work area and store to prevent tooling equipment reaching expiry dates.\u00a0
\n\tControl shelf-life material within workshop store and workshop\u00a0
\n\tBe able to GT\/3 parts and materials as required.\u00a0
\n\tBe able to pick slip tooling and material, issuing and returning tools with AMOS and collecting spares from stores.\u00a0
\n\tProvide guidance and on the job training to certified and uncertified personnel\u00a0
\n\tMonitor standards of contract work outsourced to Vendors\u00a0
\n\tCarry out dual inspections\u00a0
\n\tRetrieve overhaul manual information and authorizing of spares required<\/p>\n
Qualifications & Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent
\n\tPassed and Aviation Apprenticeship and Trade Test in the Avionics Trade with at least 3 years line maintenance experience (excluding training period as an Apprentice).
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of SAAT MOP and Regulatory Authorities Rules and Regulations (e.g. FAA, EASA and SACAA).
\n\tProcedural, Regulatory Authority and documentation courses.
\n\tMust have full shop certification.
\n\tMust hold any of the following licenses or a combination;
\n\tB737 NGA319\/320<\/p>\n
The following licenses will be advantageous;<\/p>\n
\tB787
\n\tA350
\n\tB777
\n\tMust hold an AMEL
\n\tListed on the EASA list will be advantageous
\n\tMust be PC Literate (i.e. AMOS)
\n\tDriver\u2019s license Code B.<\/p>\n

\tComprehensive knowledge of Regulatory requirements. SACAA, EASA and FAA. \u00a0
