Role Overview<\/p>\n
\tThis role will be responsible for overseeing the daily financial operations within the assigned country in the Africa Cluster. It will include ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with all regulatory requirements, and the implementation of efficient financial processes. Successful candidate will be the key point of contact within the country for coordination with the SSC on Treasury, A\/P, and General Ledger topics.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tSupporting internal and external audits as well as SOAR testing
\n\tLead the monthly close process and year-end activities, ensuring accuracy of P&L and Balance Sheet
\n\tPreparation and submission of statutory requirement and\/or key point of contact with outsourced statutory agency in the cluster members
\n\tImplement\/execute global insurance and tax strategies
\n\tProvide finance support for administrative functions in the cluster including functionals, payments processing (working with SSC, payroll, treasury, etc.), non-inventory purchase orders and related party queries
\n\tEnsuring adherence to internal controls and corporate policies
\n\tSupporting strategic financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities
\n\tDriving process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tDegree in accounting, CIMA\/CA(SA) preferred, at a minimum, Postgraduate Finance qualification with articles
\n\t5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferred within FMCG environment
\n\tRobust knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
\n\tProficiency in accounting software (SAP)
\n\tAnalytical, organizational, and communication skills<\/p>\n
Skills & Behaviours you\u2019ll need:<\/p>\n
\tFamiliarity with ERP systems and financial modelling. (SAP, BPC)
\n\tAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
\n\tStrong accounting and financial skills and internal controls capabilities, including the ability to implement and enforce internal controls
\n\tCross functional stakeholder management
\n\tStrong interpersonal skills, proficient writing capabilities<\/p>\n
