An established international chemical distributor is actively seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to manage pharmaceutical product distribution, customer relationships, market analysis, stock control, and sales support, driving business growth and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements for the role:<\/p>\n
\tMust have a relevant tertiary science qualification
\n\tMinimum 4-6 years relevant sales experience
\n\tExperience and knowledge of regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry is essential
\n\tExperience in a multinational company on operational level will be an advantage
\n\tMust have in-depth knowledge of functional raw materials
\n\tResilient, solution-focused, able to multi-task under pressure, and highly self-motivated
\n\tBe a team player, supporting colleagues and collaborating effectively to achieve team success
\n\tMust be highly numerate, comfortable working with numbers, spreadsheets, and percentages, and able to prepare quotes, place orders, and identify discrepancies
\n\tExcellent written and verbal communication skills
\n\tMust be computer literate
\n\tWillingness to travel regionally and within Sub-Saharan Africa to visit customers, as well as internationally to attend supplier training<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
\tDistributing raw materials into the pharmaceutical segments.
\n\tMaintaining the existing customer base while identifying new opportunities.
\n\tDeveloping and expanding product segments with strategic importance.
\n\tCreating and submitting offers, including taking responsibility for pricing.
\n\tIndependently processing customer inquiries, including handling complaints.
\n\tProviding technical advice to customers on formulation development, including appropriate sampling.
\n\tAnalyzing markets, including customers, products, competitors, and application areas.
\n\tMaintaining reports and documentation in the CRM system (Salesforce).
\n\tManaging budget and requirements planning.
\n\tCollaborating and participating in trade fairs and customer seminars as sales promotion measures.
\n\tManaging stock by working closely with Principal Managers to ensure optimal stock levels.<\/p>\n
