\tThe purpose of this position is to ensure that mechanical maintenance and services are provided in line with organisational and client requirements.<\/p>\n
Qualification Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) or an equivalent qualification registered at NQF Level 4, including relevant NATED courses (e.g., N3 Certificate) where applicable.
\n\tValid section 13 Trade test \/ Section 26(D) certificate required
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence code B, EB or C1
\n\tOwn transport to attend to call outs<\/p>\n
Experience and Skills Requirements<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 10 years\u2019 experience in Mechanical maintenance with at least 3 – 4 years\u2019 supervisory experience
\n\tLegal liability training
\n\tEnglish language proficiency
\n\tTime management skills
\n\tEmployee Relations training
\n\tSupervisory management training
\n\tFinance for non-financial managers training
\n\tComputer literate in MS Office
\n\tRelevant planned maintenance system training<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tInvestigate and diagnose problems and breakdowns to determine resource requirements and order spares according to Company procedures.
\n\tAnalyse breakdowns through root cause analysis and implement preventative measures on findings.
\n\tOver-inspect subordinates in their daily activities to ensure maintenance according to organisational standards and maintenance requirements.
\n\tCo-ordinate and monitor equipment availability to ensure adherence to production parameters.
\n\tContinuously analyse equipment efficiencies to recommend or implement improvements and changes to maximise operations.
\n\tCommunicate equipment information and changes to relevant stakeholders to minimise production delays.
\n\tEnsure that all installations and equipment are safe and in good working order after task completion.
\n\tAttend to breakdowns immediately to minimise down time.
\n\tDetermine work schedules in conjunction with other Engineering \/ Process teams to ensure availability and optimise utilisation of equipment to the relevant sections.
\n\tConsult with production teams on maintenance activities that affect production.
\n\tSupport the achievement of production and maintenance performance levels.
\n\tPerform administrative duties to ensure record accuracy and availability, budget compliance and spares availability Assist with the investigation and resolution of all invoice mismatches associated with orders.<\/p>\n
