\tOur client, a globally connected engineering consultancy, is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join their specialist Fire Safety Group in Johannesburg.
\n\tThe successful candidate will develop bespoke fire safety solutions across a diverse range of sectors including mining, power, nuclear, infrastructure, and oil and gas, working closely with project teams, clients, and international specialists<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fire Engineering or Mechanical Engineering\u00a0(essential)
\n\tMaster’s degree in Mechanical Engineering\u00a0strong asset
\n\tProfessional registration with ECSA\u00a0advantageous
\n\tExperience conducting fire risk analyses, code compliance assessments, and conceptual fire safety designs against SANS, NFPA, and FM Global standards
\n\tExperience developing performance-based fire safety strategies and code alternates
\n\tAbility to perform hydraulic calculation reports and prepare P&IDs
\n\tExperience with consequence modelling and gas dispersion studies
\n\tProficiency in DNV PHAST & SAFETI, PIPENET, AFT Fathom, and CFD modelling
\n\tAptitude for alternative compliance approaches and creative problem-solving
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills
\n\tProven ability to work independently and as part of a team
\n\tStrong leadership and team motivation capability
\n\tWillingness to conduct site visits as required
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tOwn reliable transport<\/p>\n
