Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Child Development & Learning Support<\/p>\n
\tSupport children\u2019s development across cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and language domains.
\n\tAssist in planning and facilitating age-appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
\n\tHelp identify developmental delays and report concerns appropriately.<\/p>\n
Curriculum Implementation<\/p>\n
\tSupport the implementation of the National Curriculum Framework (Birth to Four) and CAPS (where applicable).
\n\tAssist in preparing learning materials and classroom activities.<\/p>\n
Health, Safety & Wellbeing<\/p>\n
\tEnsure a safe, clean, and hygienic environment.
\n\tFollow child protection and safeguarding policies in line with South African regulations.
\n\tSupport children\u2019s nutritional and daily care needs.<\/p>\n
Learning Environment Support<\/p>\n
\tHelp create an inclusive, engaging, and culturally responsive classroom environment.
\n\tAssist in setting up indoor and outdoor learning spaces.<\/p>\n
Observation & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tSupport the observation and documentation of children\u2019s development.
\n\tMaintain accurate records (attendance, incidents, progress notes).<\/p>\n
Collaboration & Communication<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with teachers, centre managers, and support staff.
\n\tEngage positively with parents and caregivers.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tECD NQF Level 4 Certificate (required).
\n\tMust live in Princess, Roodepoort, or surrounding West Rand areas.<\/p>\n
Advantageous Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tECD NQF Level 5 (Higher Certificate or Diploma).
\n\tFirst Aid Level 1 certification.
\n\tTraining in Child Protection\/Safeguarding.
\n\tCAPS and NCF training.
\n\tInclusive Education or Special Needs support training.<\/p>\n
