Requirements
\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Financial Operations & Processing<\/p>\n
\tOversee all daily, weekly, and monthly financial processing and reconciliations.
\n\tManage the full month-end close process in Xero, ensuring accuracy across cost centres.
\n\tMaintain and reconcile supplier accounts, bank accounts, and balance sheets.
\n\tPrepare and review weekly payment schedules and assist with bi-monthly subtenant settlements.
\n\tSupport treasury management and cash flow tracking, ensuring accurate forecasting and liquidity control.
\n\tImplement and maintain robust internal financial controls and audit trails.<\/p>\n
Reporting & Analysis<\/p>\n
\tPrepare weekly and monthly management reports, KPIs, and performance insights for both TOM Group and V&A Waterfront Holdings.
\n\tAssess Market performance against budget, forecast, and long-term goals.
\n\tAssist with the preparation of annual budgets and reforecasts in collaboration with key departments.
\n\tProvide regular analysis of revenue streams, costs, and profitability \u2014 proactively identifying opportunities for improvemen<\/p>\n
Compliance & Audit<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with external auditors, tax consultants, and advisors as needed.
\n\tOversee VAT submissions, statutory compliance, and reporting obligations.
\n\tEnsure adherence to TOM Group reporting standards and internal controls.<\/p>\n
Systems & Integration<\/p>\n
\tManage the effective use of financial systems including Xero, Lightspeed POS, Marketman, and related reporting tools.
\n\tPartner with operations to drive process efficiency and automation across departments.<\/p>\n
People & Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tWork closely with the General Manager and TOM Group Finance to align on financial objectives and reporting.
\n\tMentor and manage accounts staff, fostering accuracy, accountability, and professional growth.
\n\tCollaborate with department heads to ensure financial visibility and operational alignment.<\/p>\n
Experience & Skills
\nEssential:<\/p>\n
\t4\u20137 years\u2019 experience in financial operations, management accounting, or hospitality finance.
\n\tProven hands-on experience with financial processing, reconciliations, and reporting.
\n\tProficiency in Xero (or similar accounting systems), POS, and inventory management platforms.
\n\tAdvanced Excel\/Google Sheets and strong numerical accuracy
\n\tSolid understanding of management accounting principles and financial best practices.
\n\tExcellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
\n\tStrong attention to detail, integrity, and reliability under pressure.
\n\tAdvantageous (Nice to Have):
\n\tAccounting qualification (CA, ACCA, SAIPA, or equivalent).
\n\tExperience within a hospitality or multi-venue environment.
\n\tExposure to publicly listed or international group reporting structures.<\/p>\n
