The Digital Asset Manager is responsible for managing Spur Corporation\u2019s digital asset ecosystem, ensuring all marketing\u00a0 and locality-based content is stored, organized, and distributed efficiently. This role oversees the full lifecycle of digital\u00a0 assets, supports new digital-related marketing projects, and optimizes the people, processes, and technology that enable\u00a0 effective brand asset management across the group.<\/p>\n

\nKey Responsibilities<\/p>\n
People & Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tChampion user adoption of DAM tools across Marketing and Locality Marketing teams.
\n\tProvide effective stakeholder engagement during technology rollouts and process changes.
\n\tDevelop, maintain, and deliver training materials, user guides, and support documentation.
\n\tTrack user behaviour and identify opportunities to enhance user experience and engagement.
\n\tAct as a change manager and advocate for both the technology and its end users.<\/p>\n
Process Management<\/p>\n
\tDevelop, document, test, and continuously refine asset-related workflows.
\n\tEstablish best-practice processes for asset creation, approval, storage, licensing, and archival.
\n\tSupport the implementation of new digital systems to streamline and modernise legacy processes.
\n\tContribute to technology budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning initiatives.<\/p>\n
Technology & Governance<\/p>\n
Maintain the Spur DAM platform, including metadata structures, taxonomy, tagging rules, and user permissions.<\/p>\n
\tMonitor asset usage rights, expiry dates, file security, and compliance protocols.
\n\tMap, optimise, and automate workflows to support efficiency and scalability.
\n\tManage high-value asset types including photography, video, design files, and locality-specific content.
\n\tTrack system adoption and external engagement with digital content where applicable.<\/p>\n

Qualifications & Experience<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Digital Media, Graphic Design (Web & Digital), or a related field (preferred).
\n\tExperience with DAM and CMS systems, including metadata, taxonomy, ADA standards, and SEO fundamentals.
\n\tKnowledge of digital rights management and web publishing best practices.
\n\tWorking proficiency with the following tools and technologies:
\n\tHTML \/ CSS, Java
\n\tLinux \/ Unix environments
\n\tApache, MySQL, PHP
\n\tAdobe Creative Cloud
\n\tMicrosoft Office Suite
\n\tProject management tools (e.g. Jira, Basecamp)
