KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop electrocatalysts for PEM fuel cell applications.
\n\tConduct electrochemical & physicochemical analyses of electrocatalysts.
\n\tContribute to PEM electrocatalyst research within team.
\n\tUndertake pilot production of electrocatalyst products.
\n\tDevelop electrocatalysts with a view towards improving key performance and durability metrics.
\n\tPrepare MEAs with in-house manufactured and other commercially available catalysts via a range offabrication techniques.
\n\tOversee research to develop new state-of-the-art electrocatalysts & production methods for high volume\u00a0catalyst production.
\n\tEvaluate MEAs within single cells and stacks via a number of industry standard protocols.
\n\tRegularly prepare intellectual property declarations for submission to NIPMO.
\n\tActively drive the technology transfer of HySA fuel cell products for commercialisation with HySA commercial partners.
\n\tIdentify opportunities for technology development and commercialisation.
\n\tKeep up-to-date at a professional level with technology and business developments that are relevant to the division\u2019s\u00a0interests.
\n\tStrong technical report writing abilities.
\n\tActively participate in the training, guidance and motivation of junior staff. Participate in team debates and technical\u00a0decisions.
\n\tProduce professional reports, papers and presentations at local and international conferences.
\n\tEnsure that projects are executed on time and within budget.
\n\tDevelop annual fuel cell catalyst manufacturing scale-up plans aligned to long term organisational plan and contribute to\u00a0implementation of organisational strategy.
\n\tIdentify resources, i.e. capital, facilities and equipment\u2019s, etc. between functions (fuel cell catalyst, membrane electrode\u00a0assemblies (MEA), stacks and fuel cell systems) and business areas.
\n\tDesign operational structure aligned to the business and divisional work plan.
\n\tEnsure that SHEQ procedures are strictly adhered to and that project work is executed with maximum overall technical efficiency.
\n\tDemonstrate through behaviour the values and vision of Mintek.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
JOB KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 5 years\u2019 experience in fuel cell catalyst R&D space
\n\tDemonstrable extensive knowledge and understanding of fuel cell electrochemistry and electrochemical\u00a0techniques.
\n\tHeterogeneous catalyst preparation and scale up
\n\tMEA fabrication methods
\n\tMEA testing methods
\n\tKnowledge or experience with SHEQ systems
\n\tMust be computer literate<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tMinimum: MSc Chemistry or Chemical engineering with 3 years fuel cell industry experience
\n\tIdeally: PhD Chemistry or Chemical Engineering<\/p>\n
