\nMINIMUM SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:<\/p>\n
\tQualified Fitter
\n\tMinimum 5 years post qualification experience
\n\tExperience in a maintenance environment
\n\tExperience in steel fabrication and sketch up own design
\n\tArc welding experience
\n\tOwn transport required
\n\tAbility to work as part of a team as well as individually
\n\tAttentive to detail
\n\tResults driven and has initiative
\n\tReliable
\n\tGood problem-solving skills
\n\tAccountable
\n\tHydraulic experienced (Read and interpret drawings)
\n\tInjection moulding experience<\/p>\n
SUMMARY OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tCarry out maintenance functions to ensure that the machines & factory remain well looked after
\n\tWhere necessary live documents are to be kept at certain machines
\n\tMaintenance checks on chillers, cooling towers & compressor
\n\tRepairs, maintenance alterations when required or requested
\n\tGeneral upkeep of the grounds & structure
\n\tCarry out all items timeously
\n\tCarry out all other reasonable instructions to the best of your ability, bearing in mind that these secondary to the mandatory scheduled maintenance items.
\n\tWelding and fabrication of new equipment and machinery
\n\tDocumented weekly checklists to be filled in
\n\tFollow the health and safety procedures as stipulated by the company – ensure you and all you see are acting in a manner of compliance.
\n\tComply with PPE requirements
\n\tAdhere to uniform requirements as stipulated by the company
\n\tReport any detected health and safety concerns immediately
\n\tFactory is permanently clean and tidy
\n\tClear evidence of good house-keeping practices are to be visible upon entering the maintenance dept. With all like type items to be stored in a traceable & organised manner.
\n\tFactory running efficiently and effectively as a result of a highly maintained factory
\n\tContinuously try to seek out methods to help preventative maintenance be a solution to root causes of breakdowns
\n\tComply with all company policies and procedures
\n\tMaintain a good relationship with colleagues and management and an attitude of continuous improvement
\n\tWork in collaboration with other members of staff to allow for smooth planning of both your department requirements to fulfil its maintenance duties, which simultaneously allows for the production plan to continue as undisturbed as possible.
