Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe Group Resource Estimation Geologist is responsible for the comprehensive management and oversight of the mineral resource estimation process.
\n\tThis position ensures that all geological modelling, exploratory data analysis, geostatistical modelling, preparation of resource statements, and statutory or regulatory reporting are conducted to the highest standards, supporting the company\u2019s business objectives and compliance requirements. \u00a0
\n\tThe incumbent is expected to travel to various sites in the Northern Cape from time to time.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tHonours degree in Geology, Geoscience, Mining Engineering, or a related field (Master\u2019s degree preferred).
\n\tProfessional registration with a recognised geological or mining institution (e.g., SACNASP, GSSA, AusIMM).<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 10 years experience in geology and\/or exploration
\n\tMinimum of 5 years experience in geological modelling, mineral resource estimation and resource reporting within the mining sector,
\n\tExperience in simulation and stochastic methods is an advantage.
\n\tExperience in python scripting is an advantage.
\n\tProven expertise in geostatistical methods, resource classification, and use of industry-standard software (e.g., Micromine, Datamine, Surpac, Vulcan, Leapfrog).
\n\tStrong understanding of international mineral resource reporting codes and regulatory frameworks, in particular JORC and SAMREC.
\n\tDemonstrated leadership and team management skills.
\n\tExcellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.<\/p>\n
