Management\u00a0of\u00a0Safety Oversight\u00a0Plans\u00a0for General Aviation Organisations\u00a0(Part 93,\u00a0Part 149 and\u00a0certain Part\u00a096\u00a0Organisations)<\/p>\n
\tDetermine the\u00a0safety\u00a0objectives\u00a0for the general aviation sector
\n\tDraw\u00a0up\u00a0and\u00a0implement\u00a0Master\u00a0Oversight\u00a0and\u00a0Surveillance\u00a0Plans\/\u00a0programmes\u00a0for safety\u00a0oversight
\n\tDetermine and allocate the resources\u00a0to\u00a0execute the safety\u00a0and oversight\u00a0plans\u00a0
\n\tContinuously review operational performance against the\u00a0MOSP and the\u00a0progress of\u00a0other technical\u00a0and operational\u00a0programs.
\n\tMake relevant recommendations\u00a0pertaining to\u00a0safety management systems\u00a0for\u00a0general aviation\u00a0organisations.<\/p>\n
Budgeting\u00a0and Control<\/p>\n

\tManage all\u00a0inspectors\u00a0to ensure that\u00a0safety is\u00a0not\u00a0being\u00a0compromised.
\n\tSchedule\u00a0inspectors\u00a0to\u00a0ensure\u00a0timeous\u00a0response to operational demands
\n\tEnsure\u00a0all\u00a0inspectors\u00a0are trained in\u00a0accordingly\u00a0to perform\u00a0their duties\u00a0
\n\tMonitor and\u00a0measure\u00a0departmental\u00a0performance.
\n\tOversee the\u00a0operational\u00a0process\u00a0according to ICAO\u00a0and\u00a0ISO standards\u00a0

\tDirectly support with the creation of regulations\u00a0and\u00a0safety standards\u00a0for general\u00a0aviation\u00a0organisations.
\n\tThrough the CAA Regulation,\u00a0ensure that safety\u00a0is\u00a0maintained for all general\u00a0aviation\u00a0organisations.
\n\tIdentify latent failures in the operator\u2019s safety management\u00a0systems.
\n\tGuide the industry on according to\u00a0safety standards\u00a0to\u00a0ensure that\u00a0safety is\u00a0not\u00a0being\u00a0compromised.
\n\tAct on\u00a0behalf\u00a0of the SACAA to\u00a0advocate safety\u00a0and efficiency\u00a0of\u00a0general aviation\u00a0organisations.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Regulatory Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEstablish operational framework\u00a0for\u00a0general\u00a0aviation organisations\u00a0in line with\u00a0regulations.
\n\tProvide entry support to the legal\u00a0system\u00a0on\u00a0enforcement\u00a0issues\u00a0through the\u00a0Enforcement Committee.
\n\tUpdate\u00a0and\u00a0amend all\u00a0documentations,\u00a0checklists, and procedures\u00a0to ensure\u00a0compliance with\u00a0regulations.
\n\tSupply\u00a0consistent\u00a0advise\u00a0on\u00a0compliance with regulations and policies to the\u00a0industry and\u00a0the Director of\u00a0Civil Aviation\u00a0in\u00a0line with\u00a0best practice.<\/p>\n
Management\u00a0of\u00a0Direct Reports<\/p>\n
\tDevelop, lead,\u00a0discipline,\u00a0supervise and foster\u00a0human relationships to motivate\u00a0and\u00a0manage a\u00a0team\u00a0of\u00a0personnel within\u00a0the\u00a0general\u00a0aviation\u00a0to ensure\u00a0maximum\u00a0staff\u00a0efficiency\u00a0and performance.
\n\tManage\u00a0key\u00a0performance\u00a0areas\u00a0of\u00a0directly\u00a0reporting staff\u00a0members\u00a0to\u00a0ensure\u00a0achievement of\u00a0their agreed\u00a0objectives.
\n\tMonitor performance of staff against agreed\u00a0performance standards\u00a0and ensure\u00a0attainment of\u00a0departmental deliverables.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
EDUCATION:<\/p>\n
\tCommercial Pilot License\u00a0
\n\tNQF Level 6 qualification in Management or relevant equivalent<\/p>\n
ADDED ADVANTAGE<\/p>\n
\tGovernment Safety Inspector course
\n\tProject Management course<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\t5 Years experience in General Aviation OR\u00a0
\n\t7 Years experience in Aviation Regulation environment
\n\t3 Years experience at management or supervisory level as an added advantage.\u00a0<\/p>\n
