MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:<\/p>\n
\tNQF Level 4 National Certificate qualification in:
\n\tWater Treatment; or Wastewater Treatment; or a relevant engineering field (with water-related modules)
\n\tEquivalent occupational qualification registered with EWSETA
\n\tDWS Classification Certificate (Class IV OR above as required by Regulation 3630)
\n\tValid code EB or C Driver’s License
\n\tMinimum 3-4 years relevant Water Treatment Experience.
\n\tComputer Literacy.
\n\tTechnical Report writing skills.
\n\tProblem Solving Skills.
\n\tBasic Knowledge of Health and Safety Standard.
\n\tTeam Player.
\n\tKnowledge of treatment plants and pump stations.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the quantity of water treated meets the demand.
\n\tAssume full responsibility for treatment process whilst on shift duty.
\n\tDesludging performed when required.
\n\tBackwash of filters as and when required.
\n\tCalculation of chemical dosages and the recording thereof.
\n\tAdjust chemical dosages according to raw water flow and Turbidity
\n\tOperation of pump station & Pressurizing of the pumping lines when necessary
\n\tManage reservoir levels.
\n\tChange of chlorine cylinders.
\n\tEnsure uninterrupted Service Delivery
\n\tEnsure 90% work attendance and completion of daily shift.
\n\tProactive problem solving.
\n\tCompilation of production, chemical, daily occurrence & incident reports.
\n\tMonitoring Dam Levels.
\n\tAdhere to Health & Safety standards in all plants, handling of hazardous chemicals and pump stations.
\n\tPerform Laboratory Routine tests on operational parameters that meet SANS241:2025.
\n\tAny reasonable and relevant duties as assigned from time to time.<\/p>\n
