PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tTo assist in ensuring efficient operations of the Plant against set objectives, thus maintenance of the Plant. Assist in attending breakdowns as and when required.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Maintenance<\/p>\n
\tCreate job cards.
\n\tExecute Engineering work as planned.
\n\tInspect equipment in a working area.
\n\tPerform general and process maintenance\/repairs \u2013 electrical\/ mechanical.
\n\tExecute planned and routine maintenance tasks.
\n\tPerform fault-finding on centrifugal pumps, electrical motors, diesel engines, hydraulic systems.
\n\tPerform quality assurance inspections on service providers.<\/p>\n
Health and Safety<\/p>\n
\tMaintain company and client safety policy and procedure requirements.
\n\tPromote safety performance.
\n\tConduct risk assessments and planned task observations.
\n\tInvestigate and report all incidents.
\n\tEnsure Mine Health and Safety compliance.<\/p>\n
Operations<\/p>\n
\tMaintain good housekeeping standards.
\n\tAssist to operate the Plant when required.
\n\tRectify process deficiencies.
\n\tMonitor Plant performance to obtain optimum production.
\n\tAdvise operations on sub-standard practices.
\n\tManage spares.<\/p>\n
Performed Administration<\/p>\n
\tCompile all reports regarding safety, production, quality control and maintenance.
\n\tKeep accurate records of work performed, materials used and any issues encountered.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or N3 Engineering Studies
\n\tTrade Test Certificate in Millwright (MQA \/ Merseta preferred)<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMinimum five years experience as a qualified Millwright
\n\tPrevious mining \/ production \/ construction environment exposure (preferable)
\n\tGood working knowledge of star\/delta starters and VSD systems
\n\tPLC basic programming experience and field application
\n\tExperience on internal combustion engines (diesel)<\/p>\n
