Description<\/p>\n
\tFacilitate the safe hoisting of persons, materials and ore, up and down the shaft
\n\tRecord conditions of winding engine daily
\n\tResponsible for the safe movement of men and material in a conveyance or skip
\n\tResponsible for transmitting and reacting to signals
\n\tResponsible to complete drivers log book daily and to list stoppages and reasons daily
\n\tAdvise and make recommendations to the Banks man and Cage Attendant regarding simplification of work during shift
\n\tVerify load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload Determine load weights and check them against lifting capacities to prevent overload
\n\tBe able to verify the weight of a load
\n\tInspect and test winder for legal compliance
\n\tPerform risk assessments (General and Mini)
\n\tPhysically operate the winding engine to hoist and lower men, materials and ore in the shaft in compliance with the Minerals Act
\n\tPrepare shift operation reports, record breakdowns and levels of productivity and report to the relevant stakeholders at the end of the shift
\n\tRequired to perform other duties that may reasonably be expected of him\/her within the Company from time to time
\n\tWork rotational shifts, overtime, do standby and be available for call-outs should the need arise
\n\tWork according to the Mine\u2019s Code of Practice, and report any observations of this not being done2<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 Certificate or Relevant Educational Qualifications.
\n\tValid AC & DC Winding Engine drivers Certificate
\n\tValid Onsetter\u2019s Certificate
\n\tMinimum 2 years\u2019 experience
\n\tValid certificate of physical fitness
\n\tValid Driver License
\n\tComputer Literacy<\/p>\n
