Purpose of this role<\/p>\n
\tTo manage and oversee the accounting and tax compliance functions housed within Fiduciary and Tax.\u00a0
\n\tTo attend to complex accounting issues.
\n\tTo hold office as trustee on complex trusts.
\n\tTo hold office as executor and oversee the completion of estates.
\n\tTo liaise with high net-worth clients.
\n\tTo manage and oversee management accounts and budgets relating to the compliance function.
\n\tTo provide support to the Head of Fiduciary and Tax.
\n\tTo contribute to publications and marketing.
\n\tTo promote the Fiduciary and Tax business offering.
\n\tTo manage a team and operation functionality of the Fiduciary and Tax Department
\n\tTo have a thorough understanding of risk and risk framework within the environment from a business and client perspective.
\n\tThis role will oversee the Fiduciary Compliance team and Fiduciary Assistants within the Fiduciary and Tax Department<\/p>\n
What will you do?<\/p>\n
\tTake full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the compliance function, ensuring timeous and accurate completion of duties of the team.
\n\tSet and maintain high standards of behavior and industry compliance.
\n\tImplement checks and controls to ensure a high standard of work.
\n\tEnsure that staff perform optimally while adhering to the values and policies of the business.
\n\tTravel from time to time.<\/p>\n

Qualification and Experience<\/p>\n
\tChartered Accountant (CA) SA qualification is essential.
\n\tAt least 10 years\u2019 proven previous experience in a private wealth or trust company environment, working with high net worth matters.
\n\tExtensive and current knowledge of investments, accounting and tax relating to trusts, companies, CC\u2019s and estates.
\n\tRobust knowledge of trusteeships and executorships.
\n\tStrong numeracy is essential.
\n\tPrevious experience managing budgets.
\n\tStrong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
\n\tOrganisational skills to meet deadlines.
\n\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.
\n\tComputer literacy.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills<\/p>\n
\tAdvanced understanding of fiduciary duties, estate planning, and tax legislation within wealth management.
\n\tStrong grasp of financial reporting standards and compliance frameworks.
\n\tProficiency in accounting software and financial modeling.
\n\tRisk management and internal control systems.
\n\tStrategic planning and operational oversight.
\n\tClient relationship management, especially with high-net-worth individuals.
\n\tBudgeting and financial forecasting.
\n\tLegal and regulatory knowledge relevant to trusts and estates.<\/p>\n
