\tA new mining company located in Centurion, Gauteng is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive leadership team.
\n\tThis role is ideal for a commercially astute finance professional who thrives in a capital-intensive environment and can drive financial performance across complex operations.
\n\tYou will play a critical role in shaping financial strategy, managing large-scale project funding, and ensuring strong governance and compliance within the organisation.

Minimum Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tChartered Accountant\u00a0CA(SA)\u00a0or equivalent qualification.
\n\tDegree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
\n\tMBA (advantageous).
\n\t10\u201315+ years\u2019\u00a0experience in senior financial leadership roles.
\n\tProven experience within\u00a0mining, resources, or heavy industry.
\n\tStrong background in\u00a0project finance, capital raising, and financial modelling.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of\u00a0IFRS, tax regulations, and corporate governance..
\n\tExperience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
\n\tStrong understanding of\u00a0commodity markets and cost structures.<\/p>\n
Roles and Responsibilities:
\nFinancial Strategy & Capital Management<\/p>\n
\tLead the development and execution of financial strategy aligned to business objectives.
\n\tSecure and manage funding for mining operations, expansions, and capital projects.
\n\tAdvise executive leadership on investments, acquisitions, and financial planning.
\n\tOptimise capital allocation across multiple operations and projects.<\/p>\n
Cost Control & Operational Performance<\/p>\n
\tMonitor and manage production costs to ensure profitability.
\n\tDrive cost optimisation initiatives across mining operations.
\n\tAnalyse financial and operational performance against targets.
\n\tSupport operational teams with financial insights and decision-making.<\/p>\n
Risk & Compliance Management<\/p>\n
\tManage financial risks including commodity price volatility and market fluctuations.
\n\tEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements, including mining legislation and tax laws.
\n\tOversee internal controls, audits, and corporate governance frameworks.
\n\tMaintain oversight of environmental and rehabilitation financial obligations.<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting & Leadership<\/p>\n
\tOversee accurate and timely financial reporting to executives and stakeholders.
\n\tPresent financial performance and insights to the board.
\n\tLead and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and accountability.
\n\tBuild and maintain relationships with investors, banks, and key stakeholders.<\/p>\n
