Description<\/p>\n
\tConduct comprehensive engine performance and trend monitoring for the CFM56 series engines and Auxiliary Power Units (APUs), identifying early deterioration patterns and recommending proactive interventions;
\n\tEnsure full compliance to airworthiness requirements, including:
\n\tAirworthiness Directives (ADS);
\n\tService Bulletins (SBS);
\n\tMandatory and recommended modifications;
\n\tLLP (Life Limited Parts) tracking;
\n\tPlan non-scheduled engine and APU changes. Liaise with OEM on repair schedules on allowable damages out of repair manual criteria;
\n\tProvide specialist technical analysis and fault investigation support for recurring defects, abnormal trends, in-flight shutdowns, EGT margin loss, vibration exceedances, oil consumption trends, and reliability events; – Drive fleet engine reliability initiatives, using data analytics to improve time-on-wing performance and reduce unscheduled removals;
\n\tPrepare and issue detailed engineering planning documentation, including:
\n\tEngineering Orders;
\n\tPreventative maintenance instructions:
\n\tReliability improvement plans;
\n\tTechnical justifications and cost impact analyses; – Analyse fleet-wide KPls such as:
\n\tEGT margin decay;
\n\tOil consumption rates;
\n\tUnscheduled removals;
\n\tPresent engine performance reports to management;
\n\tEnsure compliance with SACAA\/EASA\/FAA requirements (as applicable);
\n\tMaintain accurate engine records for audit and lease return readiness;
\n\tSupport CAMO and Quality during audits and inspections;
\n\tAct as SME (Subject Matter Expert) for engines and APUs;
\n\tProvide guidance to Line Maintenance, MCC, and Planning teams;
\n\tContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and reliability programmes.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\t12 or Equivalent (Essential);
\n\tMechanical Trade test certificate (Essential);
\n\tLicensed AME with SACAA A & C License on B737\/800 (Essential) (Current\/Expired);
\n\tMinimum of 10 years’ experience in the aviation industry particularly CFM 56 series (Essential);
\n\tExperience in Technical Services, specialising in Engines (Essential) Aircraft type experience, specifically Safair Operated Aircraft Types series (Essential);
\n\tBoro-scope experience (Advantageous);
\n\tPrevious experience as an Aviation Technician on B737-8 (MAX) mechanical systems\/Engines (Advantageous);
\n\tExperience with a MRO system (Advantageous).\u00a0<\/p>\n
