\tThe Associate Network Engineer is an entry level subject matter expert, responsible for working under supervision and playing a vital role in supporting and maintaining company network infrastructure.
\n\tThis role works closely with Senior Network Engineers and cross-functional teams, assisting in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting network solutions to ensure efficient and reliable communication.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAssists in configuring and maintaining network devices, including routers, switches and access points.
\n\tSupports with ensuring that network configurations are accurate and aligned with best practices.
\n\tCollaborates with the network team to monitor network performance, availability, and security.
\n\tHelps identify and address network-related issues to minimize downtime and disruptions.
\n\tResponds to and assists in resolving network incidents and problems.
\n\tSupports with troubleshooting connectivity issues, performance bottlenecks, and other network-related challenges.
\n\tSupports with creating and updating technical documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
\n\tAssists in planning and implementing network upgrades and improvements.
\n\tCollaborates with senior engineers to deploy patches, updates, and new technologies.
\n\tWorks closely with other IT teams, including systems administrators, application developers, and support teams, to provide integrated solutions and support the overall IT environment.
\n\tCoordinates with vendors for hardware and software procurement, support, and troubleshooting.
\n\tEngages in continuous learning to expand technical skills and knowledge in networking.
\n\tSeeks opportunities for training and certifications to enhance proficiency.
\n\tParticipates in network-related projects, such as network expansions, migrations, and implementations.
\n\tTraveling to client sites is required at times
\n\tPerforms any other related task as required.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Attributes:<\/p>\n
\tBasic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and topologies.
\n\tFamiliarity with network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
\n\tProficiency in basic network configuration and troubleshooting.
\n\tStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
\n\tEffective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
\n\tEagerness to learn and adapt to new networking technologies and concepts.
\n\tAbility to work in a collaborative team environment.<\/p>\n
Academic Qualifications and Certifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor’s degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
\n\tRelevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or Cisco Meraki experience are beneficial.<\/p>\n
Required experience:<\/p>\n
\tEntry level experience working in a networking environment preferably within a global IT organization.
\n\t2-3 years worked experience.
\n\tBasic experience with network security.
\n\tEntry level WAN and LAN experience.
\n\tEntry level experience in wireless equipment, protocols, standards, and wireless LAN design.
\n\tBasic with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP.) is a plus.<\/p>\n
