Purpose of the Position:<\/p>\n
\tThe intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their last year of study and require exposure in a work environment or have a prerequisite to have practical work experience before qualification. Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract commencing 01 May 2026 and terminating on 30 June 2027.<\/p>\n
Key Learning Areas include (but are not limited to):<\/p>\n
\tProcess Optimisation \u2013 improve time and throughput
\n\tLoss Control \u2013 measure and reduce product loss
\n\tProblem Solving \u2013 use Tags, RCFA system to solve problems
\n\tVerifying and improving work instructions \u2013 handling SOP\u2019s
\n\tProduct transfers \/ blending \u2013 producing and processing products
\n\tQuality Control \u2013 ensuring product meets specifications
\n\tSampling and analysis \u2013 ensuring correct standards are adhered to
\n\tSavings projects \u2013 implementing cost reductions
\n\tReporting \u2013 capturing readings and analysis
\n\tPlanning \u2013 meeting weekly production requirements
\n\tProduction \u2013 exposure to different products and work areas<\/p>\n
To qualify for selection and participation in this programme, candidates must satisfy the following criteria:<\/p>\n
\tExcellent academic record and in final year of obtaining tertiary qualification \u2013 Engineering diploma
\n\tCandidates in need of In Service or practical workplace experience.
\n\tComputer literacy \u2013 Word, Excel, PowerPoint
\n\tSound communication and presentation skills;
\n\tEffective time management;
\n\tAbility to multi-task and perform under pressure.
\n\tAbility to work in a team
\n\tDriver\u2019s License would be beneficial
\n\tSouth African citizen;
\n\tReliable means of transport
\n\tAbility to meet deadlines\u00a0
\n\tWillingness to work overtime and nightshift if required during week\/weekends
\n\tBe flexible on transport to be able to commute to work.
\n\tSuccessful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract.<\/p>\n
