MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tTo \u00a0ensure the integrity of the Cash Book and General Ledger of Land Bank and monitor all Commercial Bank transactional banking related affairs including ensuring that the accounts payable and accounts receivable function is managed accordingly on behalf of Land Bank in line with policies, procedures and compliance to ensure timeous and accurate payments to and from Land Bank creditors and customers.<\/p>\n

Monitoring of Commercial Bank Administration<\/p>\n
\tMonitors and co-ordinates the compliance of all legal documentation of \u00a0all Commercial Banks for the Land Bank Group.
\n\tResponsible for opening and closing of bank accounts on behalf of the Land Bank Group.
\n\tSets up users for Electronic Banking Platforms.
\n\tLiaises with Relationship Bankers to resolve any banking queries between stakeholders & commercial banks.
\n\tProvides administrative support to EFT operators and approvers.
\n\tAssists in resolving Commercial Bank system related errors and\/or queries.<\/p>\n
Oversees the Full Creditors Function<\/p>\n
\tEnsures the adherence to overall compliance of all applicable legislation and policies and procedures.
\n\tReviews the validity and accuracy of general ledger allocations daily.
\n\tReviews creditors\u2019 reconciliations monthly.
\n\tResolves queries raised by suppliers and internal customers with regard to accounts payable.
\n\tAuthorises release of payments to suppliers.
\n\tEnsures the timeous accuracy and completeness of accruals and prepaid expenses.
\n\tSupervises the Creditors Section to ensure the overall smooth running of the section.
\n\tApproves all creditor related journals.<\/p>\n
Monitoring and Compilation of Reports<\/p>\n
\tOversee and Reviews Accounts Payable general ledger accounts reconciliations monthly and traces un-reconciled items.
\n\tPerforms the payroll reconciliations in liaison with Human Capital Department.
\n\tVerifies payroll related payments and ensures that payment is affected.
\n\tVerification of Non-Executive Board Members remuneration and the reconciliation thereof.
\n\tPrepares and submit the quarterly and yearly Non-Executive Board Members remuneration schedules.
\n\tPrepares and submit monthly reconciliations according to Departmental timelines set by Management Accounts.
\n\tIdentifies all risks, as per risk register, mitigates and reports on all new risks identified and recommends controls to mitigate them.
\n\tPrepares the organisation\u2019s cash flow forecast report and the cash flow difference report and sends to the relevant departments daily.
\n\tReviews and approves Bank and other General Legder Accounting Officers Reconciliations.
\n\tLiaises with both internal and external auditors on division audits.
\n\tProvide Cash and Accounts Receivables notes for Annual Financial Statements.
\n\tOversees the administration of petty cash for Head Office and Provinicial Offices including spot checks and approval of the petty cash reconciliations..<\/p>\n
Administration of SAP BCA & Housing Loans<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that Payroll information received from HR for housing loans are accurate.
\n\tProcess housing loan deductions on to the housing loan accounts on SAP CML.
\n\tRequest settlement figures from Portfolio Investment Mangement Services, when requested to close the housing loan account.
\n\tApproves all SAP BCA transactions that are processed.
\n\tOpens and closes the daily system processing dates for SAP BCA to ensure that interest allocations to accounts are correct.
\n\tRuns the month-end for SAP BCA and ensures that the interest is posted to the correct account.<\/p>\n
Records Management<\/p>\n
\tCreates and maintains hard copy files for all Land Bank records.
\n\tIdentifies all records and classifies for easy retention and access on-site in line with legal requirements.
\n\tOversees that all records are transferred to off-site storage centre and readily filed for destruction annually.<\/p>\n
Preferred Minimum Education and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDegree or Diploma in Accounting
\n\t3-5 years Experience in a Financial Environment with supervisory experience
\n\t3-5 years Experience on SAP Financial Module and SAP Banking System<\/p>\n
