The Communication Specialist is responsible for the day to day editorial communication for athlete & sports projects through all the media channels. The Communications Specialist is also responsible for devising Communications strategies for sports events, projects and programmes, selecting the relevant channels and pitching messages\/topics tor drive editorial outcome in earned media. They plan and implement the corresponding content production and distribution (photography and video content).<\/p>\n

MEDIA RELATIONS<\/p>\n
\tEstablish a network of personal relationships with the Red Bull Sports team media contacts, content developers, photographers, e.t.c. in all relevant fields for Red Bull to support national communication targets and business plan goals.
\n\tDistribute customised local content nationally to the appropriate media outlets in print, web, TV and radio supporting the own channel needs and strategies
\n\tMonitor quality and quantity of the generated results to fine tune future approaches
\n\tSupport the Head of Communications in creating and nurturing credible media partnerships for sports and athlete projects
\n\tHelp conceptualise new format ideas, suggest content for channel building and drive quality exposure for the brand
\n\tPrepare and disseminate media content with the aim of generating quality coverage for projects in portfolio
\n\tCultivate and enhance collaborative working relationships with the media
\n\tLead internal communications for RBZA
\n\tManage the flow of news about the company and create effective communication channels<\/p>\n
COMMUNICATIONS PLANNING FOR SPORTS PROJECTS<\/p>\n
\tLead in the development of a target-oriented, well-balanced Sports Communications plan that serves local business need.
\n\tMake full use of Red Bull\u2019s content portfolio by leveraging local and international projects in the local media market to build brand awareness and image.
\n\tDevelop customized editorial plans.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE
\nYour areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma or BA Degree in Public Relations\/ Strategic Communications\/Brand Communications\/Marketing communications\/Corporate Communications
\n\t3-5 years\u2019 experience in editorial communication\/PR for athletes\/sports marketing activations
\n\tExperience in the entertainment, lifestyle and consumer PR scene \u00a0
\n\tA track record in leading projects and securing brand reach & engagement via earned media amplification
\n\tSound knowledge of computer programs -Word, Excel, Power Point
\n\tAbility to think strategically on how to position Marketing and Media initiatives to guarantee message pull-through to our target audience via media
\n\tInterest in social innovation and socially conscious issues affecting our 18 \u2013 24yr old target market\u00a0
\n\tUnderstand and have experience of the national media landscape (print, broadcast & digital) \u2013 with an established list of contacts within media already \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tExceptional story telling skills with the ability to identify stories with true media potential
\n\tVery equipped to build media relations in all fields
