{"id":33428,"date":"2026-04-07T16:02:41","date_gmt":"2026-04-07T16:02:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/dedicated-specialist-sales-consultant-gauteng\/"},"modified":"2026-04-07T16:03:39","modified_gmt":"2026-04-07T16:03:39","slug":"dedicated-specialist-sales-consultant-gauteng","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/dedicated-specialist-sales-consultant-gauteng\/","title":{"rendered":"Dedicated Specialist Sales Consultant | Gauteng"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Description<\/p>\n<p>\tMeridian Wine Merchants\u00a0is in search of a\u00a0Dedicated Specialist Sales Consultant based in\u00a0Gauteng.\u00a0The ideal candidate for this position will be a highly motivated and knowledgeable professional with a passion for the\u00a0wine industry.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tNew product introduction, vintage change and upliftment procedure to be carried out as per SOP.<br \/>\n\tClient Trade visits to be done as per the RSM\/FSM\u2019s requirements and according to SOP.<br \/>\n\tEffective planning of the call cycle as per contact and coverage SOP.<br \/>\n\tCalling customers in accordance with the agreed call cycle.<br \/>\n\tAssisting new customers in opening new accounts as per SOP on new accounts.<br \/>\n\tRecording and promptly acting upon customers\u2019 complaints, queries and requests and feedback accordingly as per Communication SOP and contact grid.<br \/>\n\tActively building relationships with customers by identifying new growth opportunities in the wine category (e.g. in store customer tastings) and adding personal touches (e.g. deliver complimentary bottle of wine on customer\u2019s birthday) as per SOP.<br \/>\n\tIdentifying and execute promotional opportunities\/requirements as per the customers\u2019 needs and promotional SOP.<br \/>\n\tIdentify training needs of the customer and execute according to a training plan.<br \/>\n\tGaining knowledge on various products and processes in order to carry out a strategic negotiation with customers.<br \/>\n\tUnderstand your personal sales target by customer and brand and deliver the result.<br \/>\n\tUnderstand how personal sales commission \/ incentive are calculated.<br \/>\n\tGrow and maintain the customer base to achieve the sales target.<br \/>\n\tDevelop a plan to close the sales gap by analysing a weekly and monthly Sales Report and submit this report as per SOP.<br \/>\n\tLog all calls and capturing interaction with customers on the handheld device as per SOP and RSM\/FSM requirements.<br \/>\n\tCollect customer information as per \u201cKnow Your Customer\u201d Brief.<br \/>\n\tCollect competitor\u2019s activity at outlet level as per SOP and RSM requirements.<br \/>\n\tSubmit trade program &amp;
