\tBusiness excellence team within the Group International Business is responsible for delivering the Africa hub centralisation of the COE for FinOps.<\/p>\n

To be successful:<\/p>\n
\tthe individual will have a solid understanding of Financial processes in Source to Pay, Payroll, Travel & Expense, and Intercompany and systems across an integrated systems landscape which incorporates several complementary business solutions and their respective interfaces.
\n\tThey will enjoy problem solving; understand performance metrics for world class organization and compliance (such as Internal Audit, Sox).
\n\tThey will support the FinOps International Business team across African Opcos. Interaction with Shared Service centres, Corporate Services, Group Financial processes, local markets leadership teams, Internal and External Audit will be essential.<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting Assurance\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet through meticulous reconciliation and verification\u00a0
\n\tPerform and maintain financial transparency and compliance\u00a0
\n\tEffectively drive action plans on aged\/ unidentified balances with account owners\/ head of finance\u00a0
\n\tProcess Compliance: Follow up on identified control and audit risks as well as review and propose changes to relevant policies to reflect Vodafone Way principles and tax, legal statutory requirements. Deliver control review activities in accordance with SOX regulations and Vodafone Group policies.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Manage the execution of strategic projects:<\/p>\n
\tEffectively manage Strategic projects, ensuring stakeholder buy-in and minimal disruption.
\n\tDevelop and implement communication plans to keep stakeholders informed of progress and anticipated outcomes.<\/p>\n
Governance, Risk Management and Mitigation:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and update policies and procedures for key processes, ensuring effective internal controls are in place.
\n\tCollaborate with stakeholders across Africa and other departments to define ownership and accountability for control activities.
\n\tConduct regular risk assessments to identify, analyse, and prioritise potential risks.
\n\tDevelop and implement risk mitigation strategies, including process improvements, internal control enhancements, and reporting procedures.
\n\tMonitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures, adjusting as needed.
\n\tCoordinate with internal auditors, SOX, Group Risk, ensuring smooth and efficient audits and timely resolution of audit findings.
\n\tFoster a culture of control consciousness.<\/p>\n
Performance Management and Reporting:<\/p>\n
\tDefine key performance indicators (KPIs)\u00a0
\n\tRegularly monitor and report on performance against KPIs, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
\n\tAnalyse data to identify trends and opportunities for service optimisation.
\n\tChampion a data-driven culture within the finance department by promoting the use of data analytics tools and insights.
\n\tDevelop and implement dashboards and reporting systems that provide real-time financial visibility and support informed decision-making.
\n\tPartner with data analysts to extract valuable insights from financial data to drive strategic initiatives.<\/p>\n
The ideal candidate for this role will have:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of \u00a08+ years relevant experience in a finance environment (Essential)
\n\tPerformance Management and Reporting (e.g. based on identified KPIs) experience
\n\tWorking across multinational<\/p>\n
Technical \/ professional qualifications:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBusiness related Degree (Essential)
\n\tSAP certification (Desirable<\/p>\n
Core competencies, knowledge and experience :<\/p>\n
