Job Description<\/p>\n
The Boilershop department currently has a vacancy for a hardworking, reliable individual to join their team as a Boilermaker Team Leader.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:<\/p>\n
\tAbility to read, understand and interpret fabrication drawings in order to fabricate new components
\n\tAttend, oversee and assist with repairs and maintenance of existing components
\n\tAssist Management with coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks onsite or offsite
\n\tAssist Management with ensuring that all team members comply with the safe working procedures
\n\tProvide daily feedback on work status to Management
\n\tSubmit Cworks requests to ensure quality and planned maintenance
\n\tSupport Management in ensuring compliance to timekeeping, productive output, discipline and work programs
\n\tFacilitate logistics of jobs with the goal of reducing standing time, including coordination with other departments
\n\tMonitor quality and efficiency of teams work programs and report any issues or possible improvements
\n\tAny other tasks or adhoc duties, as agreed with the department management, suited to this level of leadership<\/p>\n
Qualifying Criteria:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 or equivalent
\n\tMust have a relevant trade test certificate in Boilermaking\/Welding
\n\tMinimum 10 years\u2019 experience as a Qualified Boilermaker\/Welder in a similar environment (Steel and or Industrial environment)
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license
\n\tExtensive knowledge of power tools
\n\tKnowledge and adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Rules and regulations
\n\tAbility to work under challenging conditions
\n\tNo fear of heights
\n\tExcellent communication skills (understand, read and write in English)<\/p>\n
