\tOverall development and execution of the Safety Standards and Assurance Divisional Strategy. \u00a0 To effectively and efficiently oversee and manage Safety Standards and Assurance
\n\tDivision work programmes in alignment with the organisation\u2019s Strategy to ensure compliance in the Safety Standards and Assurance, Personnel Licensing, and Aviation Medicine departments, within the legislative mandate of the SACAA and ICAO regulations.
\n\tStrategic Support to the SACAA Director of Civil Aviation and Board
\n\tProvide support to the Director of Civil Aviation through the implementation of Safety Standards and Assurance programs required to ensure an efficient and effective
\n\tSafety Standards and Assurance in line with the SACAA\u2019s mandate.<\/p>\n
Strategic Alignment<\/p>\n
\tManage and ensure the development of the overall Safety Standards & Assurance strategy and management philosophy for SACAA.
\n\tTranslate the SACAA vision and strategic objectives into – Safety Standards and Assurance imperatives and ensure oversight for the Safety Standards and Assurance
\n\tDepartments and the associated ICAO Annexes.<\/p>\n
Financial Management<\/p>\n
\tCompile and manage the Safety Standards & Assurance budget annually for approval by Exco and the Board in line with the PFMA and other appropriate legislation, policies & procedures.<\/p>\n
People Management<\/p>\n
\tManage and ensure the implementation of Safety Standards and Assurance development interventions aimed at institutionalising a high-performance culture and establishing a cohesive and positive working environment to improve staff morale and increase productivity.<\/p>\n
Policy Development<\/p>\n
\tLead and manage regulatory reviews and submissions in terms of – Safety Standards and Assurance developments.
\n\tServe as an international representative of SA\u2019s interests in standards development<\/p>\n
Operational Management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure effective operational oversight of Safety Standards & Assurance Division. Planning, establishing safety standards and perform oversight.
\n\tManage and ensure effective implementation and enforcement of \u00a0 – Safety Standards & Assurance\u00a0<\/p>\n
Aviation Safety \u00a0Promotion and Communication<\/p>\n
\tPromote Safety Standards and Assurance to industry stakeholders.
\n\tConstantly ensure optimum internal and external communication on issues of Safety Standards and Assurance.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
Minimum<\/p>\n
\tPilot Licence (ATPL) or CPL plus commensurate aviation training or qualification\u00a0<\/p>\n
Ideal<\/p>\n
\tPilot license (ATPL) Or CPL plus Relevant Post Graduate Qualification.<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\tSenior Management Experience or relevant 10 years\u00a0
\n\tAviation Safety Operations or similar experience 10 years
\n\tContract Duration: 5 years<\/p>\n
