Purpose of the Role:<\/p>\n
\tOur client is looking to fill a key and exciting role in its custodian operations and network service team. They are looking for a hard-working individual to maintain operations and processes with the global custodian banks they work with, to\u00a0provide an efficient and seamless tax reclaim service to their clients.
\n\tIn this position, you will be allocated a basket of custodians\u00a0to manage and will be required to ensure that\u00a0we obtain all relevant documentation from these custodians in order to facilitate withholding tax reclaims for our mutual clients..<\/p>\n
To do this successfully, you will need to:<\/p>\n
\tEstablish and cultivate relationships with some of the largest custodian banks globally
\n\tHave a clear understanding of your custodian\u2019s process for handling our requests and ensure we work within their\u00a0defined framework
\n\tWork with representatives at your custodians to find efficiency in the processes between the client and them
\n\tManage and consolidate any queries that may arise from various foreign tax offices
\n\tResolve custodian bank complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making\u00a0recommendations to management and following up with custodian banks and internal stakeholders
\n\tBuild and maintain strong internal relationships with the departments in the company who subsequently process claims\u00a0based on documents you have obtained as well as the client service team who manages relationships with our clients
\n\tWork with client service team to obtain client authorisations and other required documents as prescribed.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all value for clients is reclaimed as quickly as possible by receiving all documents timeously from custodian banks.
\n\tMeet or exceed submission targets as set out by the business.
\n\tMaintain professional and technical knowledge by taking advantage of the tools provided by the organization.
\n\tImmediately escalate any matters that will impact your ability to obtain required documents to your manager and the respective client service team members (for impacted clients).
\n\tProvide input and drive resolution of these matters through your knowledge of custodian and ability to work with internal departments.<\/p>\n
EDUCATION<\/p>\n
\tCommerce\/Finance degree or similar, ideally with Honours.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
Must have:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 2 years work experience, ideally within professional corporate environment\u00a0
\n\tEvidence of outperforming and exceeding expectations in previous roles.
\n\tExperience in project management, including internal and external stakeholder relationship management.<\/p>\n
