Job Purpose<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for underwriting in accordance with Hollard\u2019s underwriting guidelines, delivering first-call resolution, enhancing broker and client satisfaction, and supporting cost efficiency through effective risk management of policies.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tEnsure adherence to underwriting guidelines and standard operating procedures:
\n\tAssess new business risk in accordance with business underwriting guidelines
\n\tManage new business acceptance and declinature of risk.
\n\tProvide technical underwriting expertise on underwriting referrals
\n\tManage re-insurance referrals placements.
\n\tAct within the agreed mandate in terms of discount, acceptance of risk etc.
\n\tManage endorsements, renewals, multi-claimants, refunds and day-to-day queries
\n\tTake ownership of queries and provide feedback to clients, internal and external stakeholders timeously
\n\tFollow the company standard operating procedures on all risk management processes
\n\tEnsure that protocol is followed in terms of regulatory requirements and necessary disclosures to be made (TCF).
\n\tEscalate queries or deviations from SOP to relevant manager
\n\tAct within mandate from the relevant manager in terms of acceptance and rejection of risk.
\n\tEnsure that correct policy documents are sent to the clients.
\n\tDeliver reliable underwriting support and customer service to the various claims departments and improving the overall customer experience.
\n\tEstablish and nurture relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
\n\tIdentify problems encountered by clients and propose medium- and long-term resolutions.
\n\tProposing new ways to improve technical functionality to facilitate service to meet SLA.
\n\tFoster and encourage collaboration within the team.<\/p>\n
Required Knowledge and Experience\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of 5 years\u2019 Underwriting knowledge and experience.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of Easy product and policy wording.
\n\tA solid understanding and knowledge of insurance principles.<\/p>\n
