Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team on a 3-month fixed-term contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sewing techniques, with particular expertise in creating high-quality inners and underlocking that ensure durability, comfort, and aesthetic appeal.<\/p>\n
This position will be based in Epping, Cape Town.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tDeliver high-quality stitch work that meets expectations
\n\tSelect appropriate threads, needles, and embellishments for each project
\n\tOperate sewing machines, sergers, and other equipment to execute stitch work
\n\tEnsure all finished products meet quality standards and are free of defects
\n\tPrecision sewing of inners to ensure proper fit and comfort
\n\tEnsure underlocking stitches are uniform and consistent throughout the product
\n\tKeep work area clean and organized
\n\tMaintain a safe and efficient work environment<\/p>\n
Technical Requirements:<\/p>\n
\tProven experience as a seamstress or tailor
\n\tProficiency in sewing techniques
\n\tStrong attention to detail and precision
\n\tAbility to work independently and as part of a team
\n\tExcellent time management
\n\tGood communication skills<\/p>\n
Education and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tHigh school diploma or equivalent
\n\tCertification or training in sewing, garment construction, or a related field
\n\tMinimum of 2 years of experience as a seamstress (preferred)<\/p>\n
