\tOur client is looking for an experienced\u00a0Head of Supply Chain\u00a0and\u00a0Procurement\u00a0based in\u00a0Chloorkop, Midrand. The ideal candidate will drive cost efficiency, process improvements, and team performance to ensure smooth supply chain operations and high customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n
Responsibility includes:<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that support overall supply chain and business objectives.
\n\tLead and manage the procurement team to ensure effective sourcing, purchasing, and contract management.
\n\tIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and establishing long-term partnerships.
\n\tMonitor market trends and supplier performance to optimize procurement processes and maximize value.
\n\tCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, and legal, to align procurement activities with business needs.
\n\tManage procurement budgets, cost analysis, and reporting to ensure financial sustainability.
\n\tEnsure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and standards governing procurement activities.
\n\tDrive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency, transparency, and risk management.
\n\tNegotiate and oversee contracts, ensuring clarity of terms and adherence to contractual obligations.
\n\tAnalyze supply chain data to identify opportunities for cost reduction, quality enhancement, and process optimization.
\n\tFoster innovation and sustainability within procurement practices to support corporate social responsibility goals.
\n\tEnsure warehouse safety standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
\n\tCoordinate with procurement, dispatch, and sales teams to ensure timely stock availability and dispatch.
\n\tManage warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
\n\tMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and storage costs, implementing improvements as needed.
\n\tOversee stock rotation, cycle counting, and inventory audits to maintain data integrity.
\n\tControl warehouse budgets, expenses, and resource allocation.
\n\tLead initiatives for continuous improvement, automation, and sustainability within warehouse operations.
\n\tPrepare regular reports on warehouse performance, issues, and operational costs for senior management.
\n\tDevelop and implement dispatch and warehouse strategies aligned with overall supply chain goals.
\n\tLead, monitor, and continuously improve dispatch operations to ensure punctual deliveries and optimal resource utilization.
\n\tCoordinate with dispatch, warehouse, and procurement teams to align dispatch schedules with inventory availability and customer demand.
\n\tManage and optimize dispatch routes and schedules using advanced planning tools and technology.
\n\tEnsure compliance with transportation regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
\n\tMonitor real-time transportation activities, resolving issues related to delays, cancellations, or route changes.
\n\tTrack and analyze dispatch KPIs such as delivery times, route efficiency, and customer satisfaction, implementing improvements as needed.
\n\tCollaborate with sales teams to communicate delivery updates and resolve delivery-related concerns.
\n\tManage relationships with third-party carriers and logistics providers involved in dispatch operations.
\n\tPrepare reports on dispatch performance, costs, and operational challenges for management review.
\n\tImplement continuous process improvements to enhance dispatch accuracy, efficiency, and overall service quality.
\n\tLead daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping.
\n\tOptimize warehouse layout, processes, and workflows to improve efficiency and accuracy.
\n\tImplement and manage warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and streamline operations.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
\n\tProven experience (10+ years) in supply chain management with a strong emphasis on procurement.
\n\tDemonstrated success in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
\n\tCIPS (Charted Institute of Procurement and Supply) level 6 would be beneficial
\n\tExcellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
\n\tStrong analytical abilities and proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
\n\tKnowledge of industry regulations, legal considerations, and sustainability practices in procurement.
\n\tAbility to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.<\/p>\n
