Job Description:<\/p>\n
\tOur client, a well-established transport company handling 36-ton truck loads, is seeking an experienced Finance Administrator to join their team in Bellville. This role is ideal for someone with a background in transport and logistics administration, particularly with experience in fleet and financial coordination.
\n\tWork Hours: Monday\u2013Friday, 08:00\u201317:00 (No weekends or public holidays)<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:
\nProof of Delivery (POD) Administration<\/p>\n
\tAccurately verify and record PODs for both internal and external fleets, including couriers
\n\tInvestigate and resolve discrepancies or missing documentation
\n\tMaintain an organised, accessible POD filing system<\/p>\n
Creditors & Debtors Management<\/p>\n
\tProcess and reconcile supplier invoices
\n\tManage payment schedules, ensuring timely payments
\n\tHandle supplier and customer account queries professionally
\n\tIssue invoices and follow up on outstanding payments
\n\tNegotiate payment plans where necessary<\/p>\n
Financial Administration<\/p>\n
\tMaintain accurate creditor and debtor records
\n\tReconcile accounts and prepare cash flow and balance reports<\/p>\n
General Office & Reception Duties<\/p>\n
\tAssist with reception duties, ensuring professional communication with all visitors and callers
\n\tLiaise confidently with drivers, couriers, suppliers, and customers
\n\tProvide administrative support across the team<\/p>\n
Problem Solving & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tIdentify and resolve issues related to deliveries, invoicing, and account discrepancies
\n\tEnsure compliance with company policies and relevant industry regulations
\n\tComplete tasks accurately and within required deadlines<\/p>\n
Team Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tWork cohesively within a team environment to meet company objectives<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tProven experience in a similar administrative role within the transport\/logistics sector
\n\tStrong proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel, Word, Outlook)
\n\tFamiliarity with Datatim is an advantage
\n\tHighly organised with exceptional attention to detail
\n\tAbility to work methodically and meet deadlines
\n\tOwn vehicle and reliable transport
\n\tProfessional, punctual, and customer-focused attitude<\/p>\n
