\tWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer to join our Investec UK Offshore division, supporting the delivery of strategic technology initiatives within the Client Data Management (CDM) Platform.
\n\tThis role requires a technically strong engineer who can quickly understand existing systems and play a key role in designing and implementing modernised solutions \u2014 with a particular focus on enabling the successful decommissioning of legacy platforms.
\n\tThe CDM platform comprises multiple workstreams aligned to strategic programmes and domain-specific tech stacks. The successful candidate will contribute to the platform’s long-term evolution, delivering real impact across the UK business. This is a collaborative, hands-on engineering role, requiring close interaction with stakeholders across the business and technology, while aligning to UK Banking Business hours.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tDesign, develop, and maintain robust, secure, and scalable full-stack applications using .NET Core, Azure services, and modern front-end frameworks.
\n\tBuild and maintain integrations between internal and external platforms, ensuring consistency, reliability, and secure data flows.
\n\tContribute to the design and implementation of RESTful APIs, event-driven architectures, and Azure-native services.
\n\tSupport the transformation of existing systems by enhancing legacy features and developing greenfield applications aligned to Investec’s cloud-first strategy.
\n\tCollaborate with business analysts and product owners to translate business requirements into technical solution designs.
\n\tProvide technical mentorship to junior developers and support team members in problem-solving and upskilling.
\n\tContribute to platform-level improvement initiatives including template creation, infrastructure as code (Terraform\/Bicep), and DevOps practices.<\/p>\n
Qualifications, Experience and Skills<\/p>\n
\tMinimum 8 years+ of experience in full-stack development, primarily using .NET \/ .NET Core.
\n\tProficiency in Azure Cloud services such as Functions, Container Apps, Service Bus, EventGrid, EventHub, and Cosmos DB.
\n\tStrong working knowledge of SQL, including MS SQL and data modelling for scalable applications.
\n\tExperience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Bicep.
\n\tFront-end proficiency with TypeScript, Angular and\/or React, alongside HTML and CSS.
\n\tExperience in developing and consuming REST APIs and building cloud-native, event-driven solutions.
\n\tFamiliarity with Microsoft Power Platform is beneficial.
\n\tAbility to work effectively within a team, mentor others, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.<\/p>\n
