Main Focus Areas<\/p>\n
\tThe Unit Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and ensuring that Quality nursing care and service delivery is implemented and practiced within a multi-disciplinary team in accordance, the Unit Manager will be accountable and responsible for coordinating capacity building, mentoring, coaching, training and development in his \/ her unit<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that your unit is providing safe, cost-effective quality patient care in line with the clinical governance strategy of Lenmed \/ hospital and evidence-based practice
\n\tEvaluate the patient\u2019s journey via patient experience and stakeholder contribution
\n\tEvaluate and monitor nursing quality indicators and clinical outcomes
\n\tCommunicate effectively with patients regarding their care
\n\tPromote health and wellbeing of patients and employees
\n\tEnsure the principles of infection prevention and all international standard precautions are adhered to
\n\tImplement group quality initiatives
\n\tLiaise with public liability with regard to all incidents of potential risk to the business<\/p>\n
Post Requirements: (include but are not limited to)<\/p>\n
\tA relevant nursing qualification (B Cur Degree with relevant management qualification)
\n\tRegistration with the South African Nursing Council with an additional qualification in ICU Nursing
\n\tMust have 5 years Unit Manager experience
\n\tCompliance with the SANC Code for a Registered Nurse and all applicable health care legislations
\n\tCompulsory BLS Certification
\n\tAdvanced Computer Literacy<\/p>\n
