What will you do?<\/p>\n
\tThis role is responsible to manage operational activities and processes related to bank reconciliations, broker and fee activities, and to perform reconciliations to the market as confirmed by the Investment Management Company whilst managing risk.<\/p>\n
Key Outcomes<\/p>\n
The following outcomes will be expected to be achieved by Fund Accountant:<\/p>\n
\tDaily management of bank account.
\n\tProcessing daily investment and disinvestment instructions timeously.
\n\tCompile monthly bank reconciliations and cashflow analysis as per procedure.
\n\tMonthly fee reconciliation for broker commission.
\n\tAdministration fee reconciliations completed timeously.
\n\tDailly commission fees run from Compass.
\n\tException reporting and investigation for fee anomalies.
\n\tMonthly upload of global fees\/perform conversions.
\n\tGeneral queries i.e. negative fees appearing on daily commission file.
\n\tPerforming trail commission reconciliations and liaising with offshore MANCOs for quarterly statements.
\n\tPerform daily reconciliations for transactions captured on line of business system to those transacted in the market as confirmed by the investment managers.
\n\tIdentify exceptions or differences and liaise with investment managers and internal business teams to resolve.
\n\tReconcile transactions on the investment manager recon and submit to the line manager for sign-off.
\n\tPrepare asset and liability report between client asset and Investment Management Company held by the investment management companies.
\n\tPrepare stakeholder reports, i.e. Nomco and Board reports.
\n\tPrepare market switches to clear AVL differences.
\n\tRequest investment management company statements to reconcile.<\/p>\n
Qualifications and experience\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Accounting \/ Finance Management or equivalent NQF level 5 (essential)
\n\t3 – 4 years\u2019 experience in reconciliations and finance administration in a LISP environment
\n\tIntermediate Microsoft Excel skills\u00a0<\/p>\n
