Key Outputs:<\/p>\n
\tMaintain a realistically low incidence of bad debt
\n\tConsistently meet and maintain KPI\u2019s (collections, bad debt, dso\u2019s and query targets)
\n\tWorks with a minimum of direction on collections for an important ledger, possibly key accounts
\n\tAnticipates developments, and identifies accounts that will require special attention
\n\tHandles disputed accounts and negotiate to bring payment into line with terms
\n\tUndertakes complex reconciliations, and compiles documentation for legal action
\n\tMaintains accurate individual measurement and performance statistics
\n\tObtains sufficient information to assess the risk of new and existing customers
\n\tWorks within guidelines and reports to the AR Team Leader
\n\tClose liaison with business units, internal and external clients, the focal point being timeous collections and query resolution
\n\tProvide accurate advice on debt management, queries, VAT issues etc
\n\tInvolvement in the reconciliations analysis of ledger accounts and billing history
\n\tLiaise with billing on Credit Control queries, through to prompt resolution
\n\tEnsure all relevant details are provided for the \u201ccollection package\u201d delivered to the market for collection
\n\tLiaise with current service provider, claims handlers and others on outstanding collections
\n\tUndertake ad-hoc responsibilities as required<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 3 years in a credit control experience as well as 2 years exposure in reconciliations
\n\tExperience & exposure in a Service or FMCG environment (Banking Sector, Retail Sector , Shoprite, Edcon , Eskom and PnP etc.) is essential as it is key accounts and on an open item system
\n\tProven working knowledge of accounting system (Credit Management 1,2,3)
\n\tStrong computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel -Advance, etc.)<\/p>\n
