\tAs a Senior Data Engineer at RapidDeploy, a Motorola Solutions Company, you will have the hands-on opportunity to work in tandem with experienced engineers to deliver high-quality and robust solutions in an Agile environment. Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tWork alongside a mixed technical team of data engineers and visualization specialists to build out our reporting and analytical product offering.
\n\tCreate, in collaboration with the team, the strategic direction of the BI and analytical function for the company to ensure optimal use of analytics and strategic decision-making
\n\tMentor Juniors and Interns
\n\tDevelop an appropriate model design to deliver on the strategy and client delivery.
\n\tDesign and plans for the integration of all data warehouse technical components.
\n\tReview and participate in testing the data design, tool design, data extracts, networks, and hardware selections.
\n\tPerform high-level design of the logical and physical architecture, logical and physical data model, and extract, transform, and load (ETL) processes.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n
\tResident in South Africa
\n\tBSc in Computer Science or Engineering or similar qualification.
\n\t5+ years of experience in building database technologies with the Microsoft SQL stack, e.g., SSIS, SQL,
\n\tSSAS, and SSRS, data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL, and analytical tools.
\n\t5+ years of experience using Microsoft technologies, e.g., PowerShell, MDX, DMX, and DAX.
\n\t5+ years of experience in data modeling.
\n\tExperience in analytical thinking and problem-solving utilizing any of the following toolsets: Python, R-Script, Julia, MATLAB, or TensorFlow.
\n\tDeep understanding of data warehouse principles and implementation.
\n\tQuality experience with Cloud Servers\/Azure, specifically.
\n\tExperience with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Pyramid Analytics, Qlik, Domo
\n\tExperience with applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, and regression.
\n\tExperience with deep learning techniques, mainly CNNs and RNNs (GANs and RL experience is a plus).
\n\tUnderstanding of utilizing GIS and other location-based data analysis would be an advantage.
\n\tAble to work effectively in a team environment.
\n\tExcellent command of the English language \u2013 written and spoken.<\/p>\n
