About the Role:<\/p>\n
\tThis role is designed for a specialist in Property, Plant & Equipment (PPE) and capital projects. You will ensure accurate recognition, measurement, tracking, and reporting of fixed assets in line with IFRS standards, playing a vital role in safeguarding asset integrity and supporting capital investment decisions across multiple sites.<\/p>\n

Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tBCom Degree with Accountancy
\n\tCompleted SAIPA or SAICA articles
\n\tProven experience in\u00a0fixed assets \/ PPE accounting\u00a0within a fast-paced environment
\n\tStrong understanding of\u00a0IFRS (especially IAS 16 \u2013 Property, Plant & Equipment)
\n\tAdvanced Excel skills (asset tracking, reconciliations, modeling)
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving ability
\n\tAbility to work independently while collaborating across departments
\n\tFluent in Afrikaans and English
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license and own vehicle<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities (PPE-Focused)<\/p>\n
\tMaintain and reconcile\u00a0asset registers and tax asset schedules\u00a0across multiple sites
\n\tEnsure\u00a0accurate capitalization, depreciation, and disposal\u00a0of assets
\n\tApply and enforce\u00a0IFRS standards (IAS 16, IAS 36 where applicable)
\n\tPerform\u00a0monthly asset reconciliations and reporting
\n\tTrack\u00a0capital expenditure (CAPEX)\u00a0and ensure correct asset classification
\n\tPrepare detailed\u00a0audit files for fixed assets\u00a0and liaise with auditors
\n\tConduct\u00a0ROIC and payback period analyses\u00a0for capital projects
\n\tSupport\u00a0asset verification and site inspections\u00a0(travel required)
\n\tCollaborate with operations on asset utilization, additions, and disposals<\/p>\n
