\tTWK Agri has the following vacancy available: Financial Accountant within the MTP division at Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.<\/p>\n
Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThis role involves managing financial reporting, month-end and year-end processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data in compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
\n\tIt also includes supporting budgeting and forecasting, analysing financial performance, managing cash flow, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities and Duties<\/p>\n
\tPrepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
\n\tSupports month\u2011end and year\u2011end close processes including journal entries, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
\n\tCompile, review and analyse financial data to ensure completeness, accuracy and meaningful commentary on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
\n\tMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, performing regular audits to detect and correct discrepancies
\n\tRecord, verify and consolidate all financial transactions to ensure integrity of accounting data
\n\tManage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
\n\tReconcile accounts payable and receivable balances, identifying and resolving discrepancies
\n\tMonitor cash flow and ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs
\n\tPrepare and file tax returns in accordance with tax regulations, assist with tax planning strategies and liaise with tax authorities and external auditors as and when required
\n\tSupport annual budgeting, rolling forecasts and long\u2011range financial planning in partnership with department heads and with organisational goals
\n\tConduct variance analysis against budget\/forecast and provide actionable insights to management
\n\tDesign, implement and test internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and meet compliance standards
\n\tSupport internal and external audits by preparing documentation, schedules and following up on audit findings
\n\tIdentify financial risks and propose mitigation measurements and procedures
\n\tPerform financial analysis to identify trends, variance analysis and areas of improvement
\n\tPrepare detailed financial reports monthly for management, providing insights and recommendations for strategic decision making
\n\tCollaborate with cross\u2011functional teams to integrate financial insights and drive alignment
\n\tCommunicate financial performance clearly to senior leadership and stakeholders
\n\tFoster a culture of continuous improvement within the finance team<\/p>\n
Qualifications and Skills<\/p>\n
\tMatric \/ Grade 12
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
\n\tCA(SA) or equivalent professional certification (advantageous)
\n\t3\u20135 years\u2019 experience in financial accounting, ideally in a corporate or multi\u2011entity environment
\n\tIn\u2011depth knowledge of financial accounting standards (cross country will be advantageous), statutory reporting, audit and regulatory compliance
\n\tExperience with SAP, Oracle, AS400 or any other accounting system and advanced experience with Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros), Power BI
\n\tExceptional analytical expertise and high attention to detail with strong problem\u2011solving ability
\n\tExcellent time management, organisational skills and adherence to deadlines
\n\tStrong written and verbal communication skills
\n\tEffective interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and influence across teams
\n\tStrategic thinker who can drive change and add value to decision\u2011making
\n\tAdaptable and proactive, comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment
\n\tValid driver\u2019s license and willingness to travel between sites and neighbouring countries
\n\tBased in or open to relocation to Nelspruit
\n\tBilingual in English and Afrikaans (advantageous)<\/p>\n
